  1. The US has totally failed the American people in regards to covid-19.
Texas courts are allowing evictions of at risk seniors and anyone else that hits the court dockets.

  2. Also what these other countries have is leadership, which we will finally get on Jan. 20th in Biden and Harris. Right now we have NO leadership in this country.

  3. Temporarily shut down the airlines to reduce the national spread of covid-19. This was done after the 911 attack for safety reasons. The airlines get federal funding aid anyway. American could still drive since gas is cheaper but it should reduce risks and spreading.

    1. It took Laurie Garrett to tell us what an awesome job Israel is doing with vaccination because there’s no way Lawrence O’Donnell, Rachel Maddow or Chris Hayes were going to tell us.

  4. Just a point from the UK.We aren’t running out of vaccine; we’ve opted to give the first dose as priming dose to as many people as possible, with the second dose given 12 weeks later. The Oxford vaccine is more stable than that of Pfizer, being made in the UK Itself , making it cheaper, easier to store – at conventional medical fridge temperatures-and therefore much easier to transport; its also as effective as Pfizer. Secondly, the virus variant did not originate in the UK, but was first picked up by UK testing labs and the alarm was raised to alert the world. As I understand it, new variant covid originated in Belgium. If the variant has been detected in the US, the politicisation of existing attitudes to the original strain is, I fear, only going to make matters worse given its highly transmissible nature. I urge you all to keep safe; wear a mask, maintain good hand hygiene, and socially distance;protect yourself, your loved ones, and the health system that cares for you.Above all else, get vaccinated the moment the opportunity presents itself. It’s the one hope we have globally of escaping this never ending nightmare.

  5. 7 days he spent in intensive care after Thanksgiving, with the Coronavirus, just MIGHT cause my trumpie brother to wear a mask. I doubt it though.

  6. Masks, gloves, expectorant style cough syrup, pain killers for body aches, LOW dose vitamin D, sing or laugh heartily as often as possible.
Please! Make sure you live through this! YOU MATTER!

    1. @good news The families of 1.8 million people worldwide who lost loved ones would disagree with you… as do I.

    2. @tquist61 that statistic is misleading at best and you know it —- but hey the flu is down 98% – good grief — use your noggin

    3. @good news Most respitory viruses can be prevented with a mask 😷, that includes the flu, which is not as infectious anyway, and has been greatly reduced.

  7. Israel has not quite 9 million people along with national health policies and blanket medical coverage.

  8. 1918 influenza pandemic related deaths in the US: 675,000 … 361,891 Covid 19 related deaths so far… Help everyone you can

  9. That was a nice segment. LG made very clear comparisons and I love it when science people use hands to explain things.

  10. Thought Dec was bad? Yeah, Jan and Feb are going to be “you ain’t seen nothin yet” as the virus says “hold my beer, watch this.”
Meanwhile, little donnie fiddles as the USA burns and his crazies torch vaccine supplies. We are already going to pass WW2 deaths,
and we may pass 1918. 100 years of medical advancements gummed up by poor leadership.

  11. My sincere, heartfelt condolences to all who have lost loved ones. This virus is shining a light on the US’s shortcomings. The US needs to look to other countries and LEARN AND CHANGE.

  12. The same number of people died in 2020 as in 2018 and 2019. Source: CDC. Hospitals are full every year. Nothing new except that now MSM is hyping it.
