Temporarily shut down the airlines to reduce the national spread of covid-19. This was done after the 911 attack for safety reasons. The airlines get federal funding aid anyway. American could still drive since gas is cheaper but it should reduce risks and spreading.

Just a point from the UK.We aren’t running out of vaccine; we’ve opted to give the first dose as priming dose to as many people as possible, with the second dose given 12 weeks later.The Oxford vaccine is more stable than that of Pfizer, being made in the UK Itself , making it cheaper, easier to store – at conventional medical fridge temperatures-and therefore much easier to transport; its also as effective as Pfizer. Secondly, the virus variant did not originate in the UK, but was first picked up by UK testing labs and the alarm was raised to alert the world. As I understand it, new variant covid originated in Belgium. If the variant has been detected in the US, the politicisation of existing attitudes to the original strain is, I fear,only going to make matters worse given its highly transmissible nature. I urge you all to keep safe; wear a mask, maintain good hand hygiene, and socially distance;protect yourself, your loved ones, and the health system that cares for you.Above all else, get vaccinated the moment the opportunity presents itself. It’s the one hope we have globally of escaping this never ending nightmare.
