Lawrence And Rachel On 'Anonymous' Book: ‘This Is A Warning About Danger To The Country’ | MSNBC 1

Rachel Maddow discusses with Lawrence O’Donnell the excerpts from a damning new book about Trump written by an anonymous senior Trump official. Rachel tells Lawrence that the tone of the book is that people who keep their jobs to try to thwart Trump's worst instincts is not enough. The president is too far gone for that to work. 1. Why should Trump be worried about this book? He can’t read.

  2. The world is in trouble. Wake the f up!!!! Get him out of office now!

    • @Tessmage Tessera those people were both by trump. remember he cut taxes for the wealthy , middle class, small businesses . they need to open their eyes is see that this will end, and what is gone be left is nothink. California is burning , South coast … water rises . …. you already had warning with electricity in L A. Trump is opened the door for Putin Putin t o cost a lot more demage not only to you but to throw rest of the world .

    • The planet will be fine, it’s humans that are in jeopardy.

    • the world is doing just fine

    • @Raging Monk 10000 high fives R. Monk…Deep..!!!!,, for grasshopper u truly understand…thx…!!!,,but as for them,,they’ve been bewitched, and are inebriated on the dregs..!!!

  3. We basically have a sociopathic man child with the intelligence of a very angry and impulsive 5 year old who lives in the White House and has nuclear weapons. Throw him in a psychiatric hospital.

  4. How could these people allow him to remain president when they could see how badly he is doing?

    • @Charles Bowen Maybe HE’S capable of managing a Real Estate Empire… or is HE? More than 4,000 law suits… *4,000!* And to date… 6 Chapter 11 bankruptcies. If not for HIS families money and influence, HE probably would have been jailed or in jail. How HE currently earns HIS money is also a conundrum. With such a questionable and chaotic history… how could HE possible run a country. Oh… as we now know, HE really isn’t. Cuz HE’S either campaigning, or at Mar-a-Lago… golfing, railing before the cameras against anyone tht challenges HIS actions, tweeting or watching FOX news. So… who’s overseeing HIS administration? Obviously not HIM. HE isn’t fit, HE should be removed.

@Robert Heintze “An obsession to return this country into an isolationist, homogenously white republic, ”

Those that don’t know history are damned to repeat it… when it still was pretty much homogenously white, who did the weakminded and ill educated discriminate against? White population groups like irish, polish, italian or russian immigrants!

It will NEVER be a peaceful, egalitarian world if you let people that are willing to discriminate for ANY reason dictate the rules. Cause if everything is just as they wanted it to be they will invent new rules to continue being able to bully others.

  5. The best part about this book is the title, and the fact that Trump can’t even pronounce the word anonymous.😂
    Trump: “amonymios….adonis….anonymoose….amadeus”…😄

Lauren Segars  ……………………     Keith Kellogg . Retired Army Lt. General . Was first NatSec Advisor for Joint Chiefs of Staff . Then, was interim ‘acting’ NatSec Advisor after Michael Flynn arrested and forced to resign . Named VP Pence’s NatSec Advisor when not tabbed to be permanent NSA for trump .  Kellogg  was in Vietnam, a 1st Lt. in the 101 Airborne ( same as Bill Taylor ) . Kellogg awarded the Silver Star for saving the life of a wounded soldier during an ambush, then single-handedly taking out 5 machine gun nests in bunkers with his own machine gun and grenades .

      Amadeus! Good one!

  6. I have been in the Amazon doing bird surveys with nothing but emergency communications for 4 years. What happened ? Did America elect some kind of $hitbag ?

  7. The problem is that we have lost the concept of “vote for the smartest most competent person at the job who also has strong values and integrity.” Instead, it’s more like, “Hey, this guy isn’t that much smarter than I am, which means, if he could be president, I almost could be.”

It’s the same way that people back in the day would buy up Trump books thinking he was a paragon of the self-made man. I once knew a homeless black man who studied Trump’s books, convinced that he too would someday become a millionaire by following his model. Of course, he was duped by this conman.

I think that similarly, Trump voters voted for him because they like feeling like they are closer to the “top.”

But it’s better and healthier to drop that illusion, and realize that you don’t want to be close to the top by bringing the top down. You want to put the very best in the world into the positions that are key, like president. And that means, those people should be a whole lot smarter than you, and therefore almost nothing like you.

    • Trump shows all signs of borderline-impaired intelligence, IQ 80-85. Born wealthy, always protected, never managed anything difficult in his whole life, and still screwed up. Unable to grasp his own failure and the harm and outrage he’s causing.

You are much smarter then turd trumpf.

    • Think, now that is something you are not good at .

  8. Hey new rules a president must pass. Security clearance. 20 yrs of tax returns and an IQ test

    • 5000g … Yes. You start the list!

We have a criminally intent spoiled brat in the Whitehouse, he is a a Russian Spy, who would sell this country out in a second. He should be executed for Treason.

      1) Full disclosure of tax and financial records of at least 10 years before his name can appear on any primary ballot.
      2) Top Secret security background check. Extensive financial ties to foreign countries and especially foreign governments should disqualify presidential candidates.
      3) Civics, geography and American history test
      4) Creation of an independent body responsible for A) Fact-checking political ads and campaign speeches and B) Investigating political corruption. This body would have the same investigative and law enforcement authority as the FBI and could make arrests, but would not be subordinate to the DOJ or the President.
      5) Absolutely no nepotism or political appointments of lobbyists, business associates or donors to any of the president’s political campaigns.
      6) A new Constitutional Amendment that clarifies what is impeachable behavior in detail.

The things he’s DONE are horrifying enough. I shudder to think what they STOPPED him from doing 😮

    • Ash Roskell trouble is they are Fans of trump, Fans are not logical or reasonable. Remember, Fan is derived from the word fanatic!

    • @Ash Roskell There are an unbelievable number of angry, aimless people amongst us. *45* is a powerful person, and they acknowledge and feed off of tht. HE knows this… so HE uses their weakness and gives them direction and places too focus tht hate. HE’S a master at channeling division and chaos.

    • Marius , which things ? List two !

      @fumanchu ,
Substitute “cult followers” for “fans” and it’s closer. Sadly, there are many people who honestly think the left is out to get Trump because they live in a Fox News bubble. It’s hard for me to understand how people can’t tell they’re being LIED to as it’s so blatantly obvious to me. Even some FARMERS still… wrap your head around THIS:
      1) “Trump’s lied thousands of times but you still report him… why?”
      2) “..’cause of the economy. It’s great because of Trump!”
      3) “Okay, how do you know that?”
      4) “Trump talks about it all the time!”
      5) ???

(err. should be “support” not report)

  10. Trump administration requesting it have a picture book version.

  11. I dont understand how anyone can still support Trump

    • i believe the first 3 words to be true

    • I can’t either – good grief. You just wonder if there’s some magical koolaid they are drinking. My God – this is like being in the Twilight Zone or even maybe a Zombie apocalypse!

    • @Todd R I say this all the time. It’s the mindset of WWF , truck pull, Jerry Springer and Kardashian enthusiasts. It is showing how insanely dumb Americans are.

  12. Trump will go down in history as the most beloved President in Russian history.

  13. OK, our country has gone nuts. It’s plain to see now. Come on America we’re smart and hardworking people. Let’s get our country back on the right track.

    • I know it feels good to think and say, but there is no evidence that Americans are “smart people”. Drumpf tends to prove the opposite. Roughly half the people voted for, and still support, a guy who’s main campaign promise was “we’re going to build a wall and make mexico pay for it” As Carlin said, “Think about how dumb the average person is and realize that half the people are dumber than that”

    • Also consider that the dummies that elected him are actively supporting the party that has systematically gutted public education of all that made it worthwhile, and thru that process has INTENTIONALLY left us with a Nation of knuckleheads.

    • Hominini, meanwhile the stock market reaches a record high and USA in not embroiled in war . You are a blind fool .

  14. ‘He can’t absorb anything with a comma in it’. Terrible for Americans to hear about their president but hilarious all the same.

If there are adults in the room, why does this big orange kid keep sticking his fingers in the electrical sockets?

    • There are no more adults in the White House.

    • Cause he still has the power to fire those remaining adults…

… and the nuclear codes. 😨

Termall W   ………….    Like the sophisticated and ‘smart’ German industrialists and intelligentsia of post-Weimar Germany that thought Hitler was a loud clown that got attention that suited their purposes, but that they could control . Same kind of arrogant dimwits today in USA .

  17. There has never been a president of the USA who deserves to be removed by impeachment or the 25th amendment more than tRump. Unfit for office.

  18. The “enablers” may have kept him in office to do immense damage. If they just let him be, he would have been removed within months.

  19. Richard Alexander | November 8, 2019 at 12:17 PM | Reply

I like presidents that don’t commit bribery and extortion.

  20. When will people realize Trump flunked every school he attended and lost more money in business than anyone because of mental deficits.

    • You are asking fools that think crapping out MacDonalds delicacies on a gold toilet is something to be envious of. They don’t read nor comprehend much.
