The Democrats refused to do the proper steps and subpoena the witnesses and go to the supreme Court and get a ruling. I’m old and I think I still have a good functioning brain but I know my limits in technology and other areas. Our leaders need to be able to move with the times not go retrograde.
Senators become Jurors in an Impeachment trial but they also get to vote on the rules for said trial. Like the ability for the defence and the prosecution to be able to call witnesses. Which is extremely important if you want to learn anything more past the Impeachment Investigations of the Congressional House. That’s what you need to understand about this process. Congress did an Impeachment Investigation to determine if the President should be impeached. The concluded as such and voted as they saw fit. Now that’s done the actual trial begins and in a trial the jury considers collected evidence (in this case what Congress has already provided) but the legal teams should also have the ability to present new evidence by calling witnesses and cross examining them. That is how this is suppose to work. The Senators while jurors won’t be allowed to say anything throughout this whole process on the senate floor. But they still get to vote about whether witnesses are allowed to be called. Anyone who votes against that is covering for the President and does not want to learn the truth as their mind is already made up.
Fortunately, the Reps are the majority in this case & will most likely condemn the House’s “Kangaroo Court”, acquit the POTUS, & call it a day. The country doesn’t care too much about all of the drama being caused by the crazy leftists & wish it just to end. No more discussion; no more clown shows, & no more taxpayer time & money spent on hate, vendettas, leaks, & envious, disgruntled power-mongers.
The whole thing is a Constitutional mess, among many others designed by the wealthy, elite Founders to frustrate true democracy.
We’re lucky that impeachment even exists.

Mark walker Why make something of a non-issue? Trump gave Ukraine much more support than the previous POTUS. In other words, he thought that the Ukrainians would do much better AGAINST Putin’s Russia w/ state-of-the-art artillery than w/ “blankets”.
