Rep. Liz Cheney thinks that if the GOP nominates Donald Trump for president again in 2024, it will be the end of the Republican Party. Or at least the end of the Republican Party as we currently think of it. #CNN #News

  1. I certainly miss the old days with Obama vs Romney when issues were at the front. Not bat poop crazy rules the news. We are a very sick country and need to be brought back to common sense thinking

    1. @Bill Perhaps you missed the part where increasing the price of oil on the world market (say by a major supplier cutting production) drives up the price that EVERY supplier charges for their product (e.g. Exxon et. al.). What is your level of education?

    2. @olecrowey DeSantis would be like Mussolini, and Kari Lake would be like Kim Jong Un. If you got your way, you would be the first to complain after you realized the error of your ways, but then it would be too late.

  2. Wish she would run, Although to far right for my liking I believe her to be an honest advocate for democracy. For me she would be a breath of fresh air as compared to the orange thing or Biden and all that wish wash.

  3. We can all hope that she runs and breaks the Republican party, but let us remember what she stands for–which is some really ugly “conservative” positions. Yes, her standing up to Trump and her genuine regard for the constitutional basis of government (as opposed to tfg’s clown act and sedition) is admirable and heroic, but she still stands for some really ugly positions.

  4. It’s already changed, & for forever. NOT the party of Lincoln, anymore! He’d be absolutely ASHAMED OF THEM ALL! As am I…a former republican. 😢😡🤨

    1. @Sarah’s Attic Of Treasures Not too smart are you? But you can understand how a man who has never done anything good for this country and campaigned in his basement won🤷‍♀️. Explain your logic please.

  5. I’ve been a life long advocate of non-reactionary Right politics and values, and I think Liz should be the next and first female president. At least she values being an American and has brain as well as a hell of a lot of courage. She and Adam and others quite rightly stood up for the concept of democracy, and it is hanging by a thread.

    1. Cheney possess a vengeful mind, that doesnt do well in the international arena especially with trust but I would trust her to hold a mouth full of my spit. I think she would do well with that.

  6. If he runs again, he will lose again and then we will have to listen to him whimper and cry for another few years. Or at least until he’s finally locked up.

  7. Let’s put it this way: You can take the monkey out of the circus, but you can’t take the circus out of the monkey.

    1. That’s really giving monkey s a bad Rap. Monkeys are smarter for one thing. Way better looking . And Frankly better for our planet.. amen

  8. You can’t deal with political effects without dealing with the CAUSE! Cause and effects. You just can’t separate those two when dealing with something this big.

  9. Lonely, but she stands for the truth and Constitution. There are millions of us who still believe in law and order and the constitution both sides of the aisle. We do not want what the republicans behind Trump offer. It will be a government that completely ends freedom, democracy and equality under the law. Civil unrest and deepening poverty will prevail.

  10. This whole political war makes life in the u.s.a. very miserable and is destroying all of our hopes and dreams.

  11. The best tactic I am seeing is letting the Rs think the Ds are falling in the “polls”. This motivates the Ds and makes the Rs complacent. Good move! And a couple multi-syllabic words makes this post impossible for an R to decode!

    1. @E Major Funny. I guess by your standards the higher educated vote Democrat because things are going so well 🤔😆🤣. Let me know where you went to college so I’ll make sure my kids don’t go there.

  12. As much as I’d love to see America break away from the current 2 party system, I don’t see the GOP dividing over Trump. Most are too afraid of losing their seats or the threat of violence from a belligerent mob

  13. I am so tired of Media opinion. I understand that it is important to get facts but these days Opinion news on both sides of the aisle has replaced what the public really needs FACTS.

  14. A Tail of Two Trials: Combined CNN + MSNBC coverage of the 1st three weeks of Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial (Nov 2 – Nov 23, 2021): 1 day, 20 hrs, 59 mins, 50 secs…..Combined CNN + MSNBC coverage of the 1st three weeks of Darrell Brooks’ trial (Oct 2 – Oct 23, 2022): 1 min, 25 secs

  15. It’s his fourth run. He ran as an independent in 2012, and the humiliation from that needed to be erased in 16. Trump’s disorders won’t let him quit until he wins, and his greed won’t let him quit once he has won.

  16. Conservative (not to be used synonymous with Republican) in Utah here.. and I honestly thought the party would splinter in 2020 and am shocked at how far the Republican Party went without that happening. I hope she’s right though so I can actually vote for someone who wants conservative policies but is NOT a threat to democracy. I’ll be voting for Evan McMullin. I’d 1000% vote for Liz Cheney but I don’t think there are enough of us.
