As a Lifetime Democrat, this is the first time I’ve ever seen Republicans Support a Democrat running for President. It speaks volumes.
Both Colin Powell and Lincoln Chafee supported Obama in 2008 and again in 2012. Yes, more liberal and fewer than the current array, but the fact is the Republican party has been drifting to the right and peeling off the least extreme members for a few decades now. Every week I hear about more and more Trump support leaving. Vets aren’t supporting Trump like they did, over his disgusting treatment of John McCain and Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis. Evangelist ministers are not supporting Trump. President Trump offered them anything they wanted as long as they gave him their total support. So they sold their souls to the devil. But it blew up in their face because thousands of their congregation have been leaving. Mostly millennials.
