  1. It would have been very hard for the police and military to exercise restraint.
    They could have cleared that road in an hour if given the order.

    1. That’s how disciplined and well trained our troops are. Unfortunately a lot of times our equipment is crap be we have one of the best trained militaries on the planet.

    2. @Sinister Minister careful. Too much military spending and you get an even more corrupt and failed state…like the usa.

    3. @Sinister Minister Disciplined and well trained eh? How about a bunch of sleep deprived 17 year olds with C7s and live ammo, just barely out of basic training? It was pure luck that insane s-show didn’t turn into a firefight.

  2. I have always though this was an amazing photograph, one of the most real scenes ever captured in Canada. Should we tear it up too?

  3. This is sad. I remember this stand off. That said it is our history and we all must learn to do better.

  4. First Nations should do the same with the settlers. Make them go to our schools and make them learn our history and languages. Except we won’t have to abuse them. We are more human than that.
