'Massive Failure' Of Leadership In Food Crisis, Says Chef | Morning Joe | MSNBC

  1. This administration has failed at every point of the response. Trump thinks that insulting people with lies and playing golf is all there is to being a president. That’s what people voted for and that’s what people are getting–total and complete incompetence.

    1. @Truth Matters then why is it that 1 in every 3 infected in the world are americans if we did a good 10/10 job??? But hey whatever help you sleep okay and please do not inject disinfectant into yourself and if you ever inject UV(sunlight) into you please post the video for proof. And https://youtu.be/uy7pbJ2jvMo why was trish regan fired by the way thay is sooo unfair especially the amazing work the counrty did om tackling the virus…

    2. @Truth Matters Trump has not led, but rather gave people responsibilities while presenting himself as a leader. The checks and letters coming out of the IRS says so. Same with his once daily press briefings – we’ve all watched multiple pressers. To be perfectly honest, I find more useful information from everyone else up there (even when Kushner went through logistics ventilators and most recently testing production). There has been consistently more measurable information and logistics coming from everyone else that has taken the podium during these pressers.

If your claim is Trump didn’t stand by and took initiative by implementing the travel ban despite Fauci and WHO acknowledging the threat, then why did he not implement any other actions until March? Hannity’s own timeline left out any administrative actions from Feb 4 – 24. The White house timeline (labeled by the left as propaganda piece) did not even address the entire month. You could have blamed Fauci and others saying it wasn’t a big deal, but that would refute your original argument of the President’s ability to enact countermeasures irregardless of expert opinions.

Trump and the administration surely provided Navy field hospitals, helped to mobilize convention centers and increased ventilator production. He has been openly praised by multiple governors stating such. But we also have Larry Hogan who had to acquire testing through his wife, even after someone suggested that we have plenty and they’re highly accurate. Newsom who had to outbid other states for PPE. Effective mobilization of America’s businesses and technologies should be a cake walk for him, but we still have situations like Hogan and Newsom.

A business executive is running the country. He did do pretty well with the economy and certain policies. But, during a time when a great majority of Americans appreciate solidarity and empathy, this lifetime “delagator of responsibility” does not know how to LEAD. He is in charge, but he surely is no leader.

    3. @trdmomo Trump has clearly led by immediately assembling task forces to address and solve the many facets of this crisis, issued travel restrictions, daily communications/briefings with experts. This isn’t seriously debatable. You are simply not being honest due to your personal hatred of Trump.
I get it. Trump can be a boorish buffoon, egomaniac and bragger who speaks in superlatives in his salesmanship. However, he is doing things that need to be done and not allowing the corrupt Democrats and media to bully or intimidate him into their anti-American politically correct agenda.

    4. @Truth Matters you don’t get it. You’re assuming everything. You’re also assuming that I hate Trump and want him to fail. You say Democrats are corrupt but offer no argument. You only mention the media as bullies. And by saying his leadership is not debatable, you’ve closed your mind off to any suggestions stating otherwise.

I cannot talk to walls such as yourself. Stay safe.

    5. The people DID not vote the President into office. Why are Americans this stupid? Please someone help me out.

  2. the way we are doing this…
    simply isn’t sustainable folks…
we need a new way to think and live our lives…

    1. @David Hale You are so dumb you make MY teeth hurt – this driver is refusing to be exploited by the carriers (the same ones getting bogus “loans” from the government for no good reason) who are leveraging this supposed desperation for work to increase their profits on the backs of those who actually CREATE their profits – by driving their pay down – and he wasn’t having any of it. He owns his own truck – he’s a capitalist – give me one good reason he should subsidize the carriers. He’ll get back on the road when it suits him – not them…

    2. @David HaleIt requires leadership at the top, trump to reroute food destined for schools and restaurants to food pantry by mobilising the national guard and the military drivers and call up volunteers and reroute to food pantries but we have an inept malfunctioning administration who says he is America cheerleader while America sinks into the abyss.

    3. @David HaleYou will never get it because trump is stupid and you follow trump which makes you stupid unable to think for yourself. food is being dumped on a massive scale because American farmers are stupid, American farmers do not care because they are getting paid regardless from the welfare socialism fund. It requires leadership at the top, trump to reroute food destined for schools and restaurants to food pantry by mobilising the national guard and the military drivers and call up volunteers and reroute to food pantries but we have an inept malfunctioning administration trump who says he is America cheerleader, trump always say everything is going well, while America sinks into the abyss.

  3. What kind of society destroys food just because they can’t make a profit from it? Never mind. It’s obviously the same kind of society that thinks the economy is more important than human lives.

    1. @John Symonds Don’t blame me for any Republican ideas. You must have not understood me. I think destroying food and pushing profit over life is evil of the worst kind. If you disagree with that, then please go ahead and call me a moron.

    2. That’s what I was not understanding, what do you mean the farmers don’t know where to send food?

    3. @Roxy Codone Farmers can’t send produce by themselves, they also depend on supporting industry like the logistics etc. Its a whole foodchain structure.

    4. @Roxy Codone sorry I am not familiar with how American thinks. Their culture and mindset are different compared to Asians.

  4. How can a person destroy a continental sized country in just 4 years that GOP45 has done ?
We are researching this in India lol .

    1. @Landon Morrison I completely agree. I walk every day. Without people and cars on the streets you really SEE things. I noticed the filth and disrepair everywhere. And I thought about the decline of just everything. But it’s So noticeable with the quiet city. I live in Chicago. Where is our tax money going? Why isnt our country better? Why dont we have universal health care? Killer infrastructure? Manufacturing? Why? If all the working people of this country dont wake up and begin to understand that we are all slaves to this system, that this isn’t working and rise up and fight, then the next 4 years are going to be even harder and the gap will grow even larger. Its going to put all of us into extreme poverty. Its going to get so bad, beyond anything we can even fathom right now.

  5. if he can’t be King, the abusive little child with a dictator mentality will burn down the kingdom out of spite.

    1. @Barry Sutton what’s sad is with all of Biden’s issues he’s still a 1000 times better than Trump! Just hope he picks a good VP!

    2. Mike – but he doesn’t realise he’s a firebug, even though he’s walking around with a box of matches in his hand, he feels like things need fixing for the better and sometimes this entails burning the house down, so come stand around the book burning pyre, we don’t need that ed-u-ma-ca-shun?

    3. Kingdom 😂 you high America was never nothing ever you sheep dumb as the word white culture that s who runed America plus the rich you whites at fite at all for every genarations now you all wana cry going by by now huh fake fake fake sence early 1900 hundred s

    4. Go eat them pills in fake food roting your minds thank your cia in pharma for that 🖕🏻🇬🇧🇺🇸🇸🇻🖕🏻

    1. @Anant Dongre In years to come, you will see that the disease follows the same course everywhere in the world and it doesn’t matter how hard you try to hide. Americans will NEVER lock down the country again.

  6. My grandfather said it best last night: *”This crap wouldn`t have happened under FDR, Carter or even Obama”*

    1. Tradingkid1998…Or the real president…who won the popular vote..and did not cheat by receiving help from Russia.
Under President Hillary Clinton…this would not have been a pandemic.
Vote blue…Trump and his administration must go..our
Democracy and LIVES depend on the November vote….Democrats must be in charge to once again clean up the mess!

    2. Spongebob would do better. I’m surprised you murricunts don’t feel ashamed yet to have circus clown running the admin

    1. They won’t be satisfied until we worship them as God’s and sacrifice ourselves on the altar.

    2. Back centuries ago , the rich allowed their spoiled leftovers and green bread tossed over the wall to the poor to eat .

    3. @Speed Racer now they refuse to even toss the green bread to the peasants because government giving them money to destroy real wealth and real goods to get fake money

  7. A story diminishes to be “news” when it become continuous, consistent, predicable. Unfortunately in the age of trump “failure of management” is becoming continuous, consistent, predicable.

    1. @David L Lewis I like your approach you can’t just get pie with one source it will melt your mind…
I just don’t like it when people diagnose the president without even meeting him.

    2. @Earnest T Bass Thanks, Earnest, but I thought you were dead! [I admit, had to Google to remember where I’d heard the name] David

    3. @Earnest T Bass lets compare , how often are these two caught in lies compared to trump being caught in lies , on a weekly basis?

    4. @Jordan Heeren About 3 years ago I began a mental list of people with no dog in the fight showing he has been an habitual liar from childhood. My favorite, though, is the business associate who said trump would look at his watch and lie about the time of day just to keep in practice.

    1. also the richest country in the world: cant give their people proper funerals. pathetic.

    2. Won’t be surprised if the so called Third World country by the white American donate food to them 😂

    3. USA is no first world country and it is not rich. The people have spend money they didn`t own.
Not to have enough private savings to bridge a couple of months or years of crisis or the need to feed kids in schools or the lack of affordable healthcare or the poor workers rights, the lack of a social safety net for people in need, the dependence on charity like a beggar and so on… tells you all.

To give home to tax evading, wealthy people doesn`t make a country rich.
USA is a pretty poor country that is only attractive to 3rd world refugee who don`t have to lose anything.
USA simply cannot afford a proper pandemic crisis management. It is too poor and has to fear increasing social instability…just like China. That is the uncomfortable true.

  8. Govenor Newsom is giving California farmers a tax credit to donate food to the state for distribution to local food pantries.

    1. @Kong dealing with the homeless and overpriced housing is almost like squaring a circle. The perfect climate attracts many people. And the high rates of pay attracts a lot of people. But then if you don’t get a job, you’re literally stuck there and unable to get out of the state.
Lots of people coming into State means that housing prices are driven up. And already they’re building on land that’s not really safe to build houses on. When they have a severe storm many houses are damaged or destroyed and people died. Fact is California has 12% of the nation’s population. It would really be worth their money to send 2% of the population to other smaller conservative states to turn them blue because then California would be less populated and it wouldn’t be having to give up money to support the welfare red States.

    2. @Mac Mcleod It’s all based on massive global inflationary asset bubbles…or was. Everything. In fact, little Covid, Jr appeared right when the largest stockmarket bubble in US history was announced. 70% of the US economy was based on retail sales. The real economy. The stockmarket on the other hand, as of now, is functioning post-mortem. “Zombie banker” is no hyperbole – speculating on derivatives, collateralized debt obligations, and speculation on speculation. Interest rates are at zero. Time has no value. What does this all mean? It’s all a collective delusion of sorts. This is a post-work, post-scarcity economy.

    3. @Terminator X Agreed there. Bush should have allowed a recession in 2006. Obama in 2013. And Trump in 2017. None did- all kept printing money to support the market.

Without regular small pain- you will eventually get massive acute dislocation and pain.

    4. @Mac Mcleod You can keep your 2% blue right in California where it belongs. I didnt move after spending decades there to have them do the same thing to my new home. You wrecked it you deal with it.

    5. @Dominique Hardie I’m not from california.
And if you live in a “red” state you are almost certainly mooching off of california federal tax dollars unless you are in Texas.

  9. Well what do you expect when Trump fails to put actual experienced and qualified people in charge of agencies like the Dept of AG and the USDA. Instead he filled them with the most corrupt, inept and inexperienced sycophantic neophytes he could find.

    1. The “DA” in USDA stands for Department of Agriculture. It’s just one agency, not two.

    1. @Ding-a-ling Of course he will win in november. His cult will vote in drove, because it cannot be the fault of their god if he is utterly incompetent… t’is an evil ploy to take him down and hide his eternal glory !

    2. firouza gamieldien just like trump creating an enemy out of China. He always need a boogeyman to fight against. Why don’t he fight israel, now that’s the real enemy and has complete control of the USA?

    3. Here is YOUR opportunity to prove how smart YOU are by telling everybody how YOU plan to solve the next national “emergency” in 2023.

    4. @Ding-a-ling Yet it is all based on a lot of evidence. trump polls numbers have barely moved from the start of his presidency and given that he won without the popular vote, there is little reason to think that the situation is different from 2016. Yet trump is utterly incompetent. Wall, ACA, NK, the current crisis, budget deficit and trade deficit, he failed and failed again and again on every front without end.
Then the Mueller report proved he obstructed justice and even the republican senator recognized he had asked for personal favors from a foreign leader using his position as president, but in both cases he was held above the law.
All this time, his supporters never ever admitted he ever did anything resembling something wrong (well, most of those I’ve had the pleasure to talk to at least, as well as his representation on Fox News for the most part) and some told me he was sent by God, giving him a sacred holy nature.
I doubt you’ll find much difficulties to confirm the capacities of trump and his fanatics to blame everybody but trump. Hillary, Obama, CCP / China, liberals, the new world order, it doesn’t matter. As long as it’s not themselves, they will blame everybody. Scientists, experts, doctors, nurses, they are to blame, they are wrong, never trump ;P.

It’s not hatred, it’s just an opinion informed by facts. I observe a cult. Be it scientology or trump’s fanatics, it’s just observing a cult. The fact I say out loud what it is doesn’t change their nature as cults.

  10. This has to be the most disgusting and disturbing things so far. To hear abt that much food being thrown away, when people are starving all around the world is beyond vile! (America is in this world)

    1. “Piglets aborted”? No “piglets” were aborted. Science Please! Parasites and collections of cells were removed.

    2. This is so sick and makes me mad .we are a COUNTRY of waist .PERIOD….but people go hungrey.but then you see …feed the children .and all the crap over seas .but we dont do anything for our own people .IM SHOCKED IN ANGER THAT THIS COUNTRY HAS GOTTEN SO LOW .IT SICKENS ME …..IM ASHAMED TO BE CALLED A AMERICAN.THANK YOU TRUMP AND POLOSI AND CONGRESS FOR KILLING THIS COUNTRY.😭😖😫😡

    1. As I stated earlier, I’m so ashamed right now to be a Republican. You are on the mark! Thanks

  11. And 44% of polled Americans still think Trump is doing a great job.
When can we finally, seriously, talk about what to do about FOX News?

    1. I had my doubts about Democrats being fascists, but then I read your comment. It removes all doubt.

    2. @Mr11ESSE111 They could be starving to death, and Sean Hannity would tell them it’s the Democrats’ fault, and they’d believe him.
