  1. What a great pastor!! He doesn’t want his congregation to be killed. He is a truly decent man!

    1. If he was REALLY a great man, he would have looted a target and set a police car on fire. That’s what you liberal kids like these days, right?

    1. @Nightmarez TV Trust a fictional character or a highly qualified medical professional?….Geee that’s a tough One 🤣😆

    2. @Vlad the Inhaler FYI jw.org/en/bible-teachings/peace-happiness/physical-mental-health/blood-transfusions/

    1. @cj p of course they won’t. Whenever one of their scandals just disappears, you know it was all bullshit, and they probably knew it was bullshit from the beginning.

    1. @Michael Pondo The church of Satan! That is what a megachurch is, worshiping the devil himself!

    1. @Michael Pondo You mean love and protect the flock. Glock is a type of handgun. Why did you capitalize Glock?

    2. @Blunted206 My take is believers are weak-minded people who can’t or won’t think for themselves.

  2. A church is just a building. Jesus lives in your heart. Only you can close your heart. Jesus said heal the sick, not ignore sickness.

    1. Glad you said it very well. I was thinking on how to place it correctly in words because today people are offended with just about anything, even worse , the Truth. God bless you!

    2. A church is not a building. It’s a people united together following Jesus. Not a building.

    3. @Grim Reefer Ask a historian, christian or atheist, they will tell you Jesus existed as, at the very least, a man.

    1. He needs to talk to the pastor at “Dream City Church” in Phoenix, where they held a trump rally for 3000 young republicans. With no social distancing and no masks.

  3. I think it really shows how bad the situation is when we have to congratulate someone for not wanting to kill of his following

  4. It is so sad that this is even in question. Why would pastors be endangering the lives of their members?

    1. forcing people out of work is the biggest public health crisis you can imagine. will kill far more than this simple overhyped cold virus.

  5. So… this is a reasonable position. Any chance he can replace the religious loons whispering in Trump’s ear?

    1. @Koehli _ You can’t even carry your name, I doubt you graduated college.. much less studied biology (I did)… don’t be a tool.
      .
Be kind out there – this is killing people.. worse there seem to be some 20% of survivors who may suffer *short to long term symptoms/ or death, 2-8% or so. We may have just bred the new pre-condition like HIV or herpes into existence. Our inability to send the CDC to China in Dec.. pathetic. Us blaming other countries or past presidents on our current affairs, just as lame. There is a genetic code to this virus, look it up – back to school/ both is even better.
      .
Where are you from Koehli(?), or is that also private information.?. you want freedom of speech, that starts with knowing who you are, or who you are talking to.
      .
Don’t act like Trump, only bullies callously call others fool – especially those trying to help_ stand behind your own name, like a man would… bullies are no-one worth looking up to, any adult should know this. (*~Have respect if you want to deserve it)
      .
      Peace ~
      Dk

    2. @Crystal Giddens Do you remember him saying he first wished to keep down the rush on hospital masks?
      ..
If he lied that is unfortunate, especially that he felt he had to – that we can’t trust people would make wise choices. By today the science is clear, this is spread primarily by aerial particles… that would mean masks should be a priority (or isolating, especially those who are sick).
      Take care Crystal<3,
we should all be doing our best (at that moment).. Dr. Fauci does has a lifetime of achievement/ education behind his name.. I think he's trying, I think we are failing/ we the stewards.
      Goodnight*
      Dk

    1. @Nightmarez TV youre an idiot. just because im denouncing one thing, doesnt mean i approve of something else. i also think the protesting was a bad idea in terms of limiting the virus.

    2. @Truth Ninja who said rioting and looting was “ok”? they were awful too. the topic of this thread is church gatherings. you cant come up with a logical reason to justify them, so you bring up something off topic?

    3. @Anouk129 They get their shaming from the mainstream media regularly, the protesters never! Where are the rioters , looters and brick throwers among those you mentioned? All peacefully done, no violence. Watch and note who get passes?

    4. @Anouk129 If your claim is true then why aren’t Democratic mayors arresting them? Why do they just allow them to destroy and then blame injustice instead of the agitators?

  6. How refreshing; common sense, empathy and responsibility in a ‘man of the church’!
    Good for you, Sir.

-Now can please more of you follow suit and wake up…

    1. @Tom Jenkins – Look at other countries. US deaths are 50x higher than every industrialized country in the world. Except for UK. It’s only 11x higher.

Look at the data. You’re drinking the Kool-Aid.

    2. Why did god create the virus in the first place or do nothing to stop it? …guess it isn’t real 🤔🤣

    3. I agree! My church is meeting (I am choosing to stay home). They are “encouraging” masks… most aren’t wearing them, they are “social distancing” seating…. but everyone is mingling/hugging/socializing with NO distancing before and after services… I don’t understand how church leadership can feel comfortable encouraging this environment.

  7. I applaud this pastor. As others said, this shouldn’t even be a question. But unfortunately it is right now.

    1. @Unsound Foxly Because, the word of GOD says,Forsake not the Assembling of YOURSELVES together which is the manner of some.GOD HIMSELF told us to come together. Why would GOD have a HOUSE then tell HIS Children not to come to it?Yes,GOD is with us at all times but that don’t mean we disobey HIM and don’t come to HIS House.GOD said,to assemble,I don’t care what man say.

    2. pastor shandon & evang.kimla ellis well it’s a pandemic tell god I’m gonna have to socially distance. He can come to my house I’m not going to his.

    3. @Unsound Foxly But I bet you are going to go everywhere else, your job,the store,Etc.

    1. @Ray Bellows they are not a cult they kick you out for not following the rules . cults wont let you out.

    1. How fucked up is it that we are at a point where this statement can be said with zero context, but people still know exactly what you are saying?

    2. This Church is about money 501(3)(c)
not God, but his stance should be respected.
since we’re talking about murder prevention let’s stop the child trafficking from happening since your so interested in murder prevention…..God will help. Which ever God you may or may not believe in.

  8. As a member of Andy’s church in PTC, GA, he’s never mixed church & state. Well done!

    1. @Trixy Check out this past Sunday’s message. It’s an uncommon one, but very topical given the Coronavirus pandemic.

    2. @Grim Reefer I guess with that kind of accusation and statement, it would be of no use to say to you to “be careful” because either HE has personally really hurt you or someone you know, or you are against church/religion/God as an idea.

  9. Very refreshing just see a member of the clergy feeling this way. This is the way to give guidance to your flock. Even as an atheist I am very impressed with him.
