    1. Vaccine not effective, company doing a capitalistic thing stops production on a virus that has killed more people than both world wars individually. Are you expecting a man bites dog story here? It would be nice having more production being used based on good knowledge, but this means that Merck’s production capacity is being wasted in regards to the pandemic, which is the biggest story and those statements actually explained it.

    2. @Ronald King Well it’s not gonna be a cut and dry situation seeing as Biden has talked about using the Defence production act..

    3. @Ronald King they are still trying to develop better therapeutic medicines though. That’s still good news because combatting this disease from prevention and therapeutic would be key to win against this diseas

    4. I guess the real answer to myself is pay attention and do’t bother clicking on MSNBC videos that are less than 2 minutes lol

    1. lol, your poor 1%’ers Merck has a market capital of over $203 BILLION! Don’t think they need you crying for them. But it is a great marketing ploy, for the peasants. Poor job CREATORS, I guess more tax cuts, for your 1% owners.

  1. We need the therapeutic urgently as that is critical in keeping people who already have COVID-19 from dying.

    1. Why? They tried, and got an unfavorable result. They’ve decided to stop… and you want to punish them for trying in the first place? Or would you rather they throw more good money after bad? The latter is what most companies do — and we give them sh*t for it afterward. BTW, this is about new vaccine CANDIDATES – not the already-released vaccine.

    1. It would have been their R&D that just had its time freed up, they probably subcontract most or all of their manufacturing.

  2. Not an unexpected development. It’s normal to have proposed vaccines fail to perform as desired. We wouldn’t have a vaccine this soon if drug manufacturers hadn’t already been studying this particular family of viruses. The big question now is, has the grossly inadequate response by the US, who’s example was folliwed by numerous other leaders (term used loosly) given this virus all the time it needed to be on course to becoming endemic (is it already???). I’m hearing more than a little justified concern coming from voices within the medical community. Viruses mutate. And this one has been mutating fast & furious!
100 cent percent befitting the IMPOTUS×2 & his self-serving admin!!!
