    1. Oh my god… too many “I”s… I can’t handle too many self-centered people a day… Can we go by Wessussuppi?

    2. @laysrayslays Aw, man, does that mean we gotta change the name of the river, too? And the title of Mark Twain’s book?

  1. It’s a small first step but one that was required for Mississippi to ever have a chance to compete with other states in the Union.

  2. >.>
<.< How does the phrase "In God We Trust" not in any way run afoul of the 1st Amendment I will never know.

    1. There are a whole bunch of gods.

Look I am a life long agnostic. I still say do not let the perfect be the enemy of thr good.

    2. @Kurt Wicklund Bingo, having that phrase on the flag isn’t anywhere near as big a deal as having a new flag without confederate imagery (from a long time atheist).

    3. @Captain Kei I’m confrontational? Well, perhaps. It’s just that I find OP’s post disingenuous, especially since a little research would’ve shown them that the phrase has already been litigated and deemed to not violate the First Amendment.

And I bet that phrase on their currency doesn’t stop them from spending it.

FYI, E Pluribus Unum is also on our money.

  3. Sad that it took over a century for this change to happen, but wonderful that it FINALLY HAPPENED.

    The flag looks great!

  4. This makes me feel so proud …lets keep it up Anerican. Respect and dignity for all Americans!!!
    🇺🇸💕💕💕💕

    1. Except those who don’t believe in magical sky men or believe in multiple Gods and Goddess Putting a religious statement on a flag is not about respect & dignity, would “In Satan we Trust” be about respect.
