MN AG Cites 'Additional Evidence' In New Charges In Floyd Case | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

  1. Additional evidence that he murdered Mr Floyd even more than we initially thought he murdered him in the video of the murder.

    1. It takes more than the video to go from 3rd degree to 2nd degree murder. They need evidence of intent.

    2. Jock Young they have the officers body cams which likely have evidence of them talking to one another or to the victim.

  2. I want to know if there is going to be an inquiry into the initial autopsy. Sounds like a coverup to me.

    1. @98LowDown some of the people who have imbedded themselves are outsiders like White Nationalist who on recent chatter have signalled they want to start a race war by conducting violence in these rallies. Just like Zillion Roof tried in the SC church.

    2. Crimdor I think it should be his family before any “we” don’t you. Don’t presume to think you should know before Mr Floyd’s family. Have a bit of respect. Your rhetoric is quite callous.

    1. @Crimdor You’ve got some boot polish on your tongue and some brown stuff on your nose, bro. Clean yourself up.

  3. A corrupt cop killed a black man and nobody stopped him…..
We’ve all seen it Ellison, now what?

    1. Derek Brandell – selfish? How?
I also feel like you don’t understand the definition of ignorant.

    2. @Crimdor I seen your Trumpist crap before traitor dog.
My level of education is of no consequence when referring to your muttmanship.

  4. It’s happening on both sides sounds like something someone said about Charlottesville having good people on both sides. Extremists on either side are NOT GOOD. This has to stop. Centrists are the majority being overrun by extremists in either end. AND CURRENTLY it’s the far right white supremist running the power structures of our nation. Namely Steve Miller an outed white nationalist as seen by his 900 racist emails. He will remain in the WH because his views are welcome by those in power.

  5. Why is it not 1st Degree Murder Charges for all. George warned them he couldn’t breath, yet Chauvin continued to press down with his knee till he expelled all air and life out of George. See the grin on Chauvins face too. The officers stood by must have heard George saying he couldnt breath too so basically as its all on video and can be heard on sound that George is telling them he couldnt breath and Chauvin continued till he killed him and they must all have known what was happening why cant it be 1st Degree Murder for all 4 of them the person that carried out the first autopsy too that said there was no evidence that asphyxiation happened should also be charged because that is also an obvious attempt at cover up and we cant have corrupt elements like that carrying out autopsies in future too.

    1. Minnesota law (and most other state’s laws) consider 1st Degree Murder as premeditated murder, as in you planned out this murder and it didn’t happen ‘in the heat of the moment’. Unfortunately police officers have historically not been charged with the same levity as the citizens have, which has many uneasy about the outcome of this case. It’s my belief that those charged to serve and protect us who could easily take us over with weapons….should be held to a MUCH higher punishment for the same crime for the crime and using public funds/equipment to commit a crime.

  6. if they are not charged and sent to jail, your country is going to even be a WORSE dumpster fire than it already is !… 😐

    1. Randy Couch Protesting is a 1st amendment right
Rioters and looters who have been arrested have ties to white supremists. They should go to jail

    2. @RAsphalt go back to the 1960s where you belong… maybe YOU should look at WHY you have the problems of today asshead !… >:(
      #presiDUNCE
BTW… I’m in Canada… far away from your racial ignorance, I’d LOVE to “build a wall” on our borders to keep YOU out of Canada !… your tedious response is laughable… xD

    3. @Llewellyn Kereiff looters and people inciting violence does not help the cause of the people PEACEFULLY demonstrating…
america is a dumpster fire right now…
people react to these things not always correctly but they WILL react to it !… 😐
      #presiDUNCE

    4. Dani Duncan: this is my fault for not directing my comment to Randy Couch who said we should cut welfare to the “thug protesters”. I agree with you, but.. did you even read my comment to know? It’s ok

    1. @Justice Boofer the club owner they worked for mentioned that they never worked at the same shifts.
So the likelyhood that they knew eachother is still slim.
They Might have known About eachother tho.

    2. 75joev I think we’re gonna find out a lot more as time goes on. Everyone is very anxious to know everything they can but as important as this case is (and I can’t think of a more important case in my lifetime) we have to realize that it takes time to try these cases & let the prosecutor do his job, hopefully successfully 🙏🏼

    1. I’ve been watching the propaganda perpetuated by both the right with fox news and the left with CNN and MSNBC. Both sides have agendas and are brainwashing people. Neither side is accurate.

    2. @Paul Mallory What else is new? That could be said about virtually anything that has happened in the last decade or four.

    3. @Dan Elmore it’s unfortunate to see American people being brainwashed to turn on each other because of the color of their skin just because politicians are paying the media to polarize the sides. It’s like moths being led to a flame.

    4. 3 of the 4 policemen were on George Floyd’s body:
Dereck Chauvin put pressure on his neck, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Kiernan Lane pressed George’s back and legs with their body weight. While, Tou Thao threatened passers-by who were filming and asking to lift Chauvin’s knee from George’s neck.

In fact, in the full video there are two key moments that show that all the agents are responsible for the murder, one in which George in agony begs Chauvin to allow him to sit back in the police car and tries to get up but the pressure exerted by the other 2 agents prevents him, not visible in the video because the agents are covered by the police vehicle, so Chauvin continues to press his knees or neck. The other George Floyd after repeatedly telling Chauvin not to be able to breathe, also expresses pain in his back and knees.

    5. @Paul Mallory Agreed. However, it is not as insidious as “politicians paying the media”. The media is what the media is because they are an advertiser-driven business which is compelled to shape content to increase views. It is the viewers who want to be pandered to, rather than be objectively informed, that are “paying the media to polarize”.
It is easier to shift blame to an outside entity, but the blame lays squarely at the feet of the citizens, in a democracy. We have, as a population, chosen the ideologically lazy path – Because having to consider all things without the comfort of constant self-righteousness is far more complicated than just being told “you are right and everyone who sees things differently is wrong”. We want to be polarized, because it allows us to believe “my side is good, and the other side is pure evil, or just ignorant, or too stupid”. It is all an ego-game, played out in the minds of each citizen.
Being “right” releases endorphines -It literally feels good to have the media tell you how right you are. That is the real reason the MSNBC and FOX are what they are. They are not distributing information – They are distributing drugs directly into brains.

  7. MSNBC needs to upload more of their shows now that the Asian Youtubers that used to bring us the first three quarters of our favorite shows have been demonetized and shut down…

  8. Imagine being that officer in jail, knowing everyone in the World hates you, knowing you sparked the fire for worldwide racial justice with your incredibly bad policing and murdering civilians. Wooh! He’s going to get WRECKED in the courtroom!

  9. The leo should not have control over when the cam is turned on or off. Luckily this time they neglected to turn them off.

  10. If the officers who murdered Eric Garner (for illegally selling cigarettes ?) had been brought to justice, George Floyd might still be alive today. Think about it.

    1. No he wouldn’t,they just would’ve done it where there was no camera, you can see that cop was a killer

  11. He is talking around the questions, not answering any of them. Even after so much evidence the higher command can not take the right actions. I think this is another case which dies in the rest of the news mayhem from nowaydays.

    1. If he is not circumspect in his public comments a slick lawyer will twist his meaning and compromise the case.

  12. The killers didn’t care about doing that stuff in front of everyone but they are looking for other ” stuff ” like the video wasn’t clear enough .

  13. I’m Not Falling for the yokie doke.. imagine they took their mug shots just to show everyone and sent them home on lock down so no one will see They’re Not locked up!!!

  14. The fact it took a smartphone camera to expose police brutality shows PDs need independent oversight on everything they do
