The same people who oppose school and business closures are usually the same people who refuse to wear masks, and who are less likely to get vaccinated.
You don’t have to be a socialist to understand that we live in a society, and that “I do me, and you do you,” when taken to an extreme, is just as bad as losing your idividuality to the collective.
It really isn’t complicated. Some things are individual and some are communal. Communicable diseases require the community to fight them.
This only has to be temporary if people would just do their part.
If you want to hide in your basement with your mask on cuz you’re scared, go ahead.
Even if it works as well as they say with no side effects people will still have to take it twice a year since evidence is accumulating that immunity diminishes 5 to 6 months after exposure.
The ability to use standard storage with Moderna will make all the difference.
