    1. @Quiet Entropy Tons of SW tech is ridiculous though. It’s always been convoluted nonsense to create tension and drama.

  1. Oh Mika. I’m sad for you. And for you Willie. I was 13 when ANH came out in 1977 and I love the ST and like Joe, I think TLJ was amazing (except Canto Bight). TFA was an homage to ANH and a gentle introduction to the ST but largely a redo of ANH, so pretty safe while TLJ did what every middle movie of a trilogy should do and I loved it. Can’t wait to see TROS and have tickets to see it with my boys at 6 pm 12/19. First time ever seeing any movie on opening night and I don’t have to stay up until midnight. I also love The Mandalorian. I admit that I can’t bring myself to rewatch the PT but I know people who love it as well. Hope you enjoy the movie with your sons Joe!

    1. What did TLJ do? Derailed the story? Made people buy books to figure out wtf any of it meant? I love the rest of the Skywalker saga, but TLJ was the least “Star Wars” of them all. I’ve been watching these movies since they came out in the 70s, so 40+ years has been a long time to wait only to get to see my childhood hero (and even his actor) treated like dirt both on and off screen. Hardly anyone even cared that Han had died. And that throne room fight was so poorly choreographed, I’m gonna feel bad for Daisy forever over that. They made her look like a drunken fool, and they made Carrie Fischer look like Marry Poppins. I respect your input, your opinion. I really do want to know what you think TLJ did for the franchise. It was such a disappointment (for me) that all I can do is hope this new one will come back to the standards that started it all.

  2. That was one of the most enjoyable Morning Joe segments ever…. watching Mika’s “are we done yet?” expression was hilarious

  3. Star wars is supposed to be more violent then Star Trek, and not based on real science. But the last few Star Trek movies changed that. 😒

    1. Star Trek is as dead as Star Wars. Mandalorians is not bad though, first 3 episodes of it are great and then it’s ok.

  4. I am old enough to have noticed in the 1970s that the scrolling letters in the opening of the Star War movies came from old Flash Gordon matinees of the 1930s.

    1. What I do know is that the previous directer screwed up the Last Jedi so badly, they bought a second one into recutting it and fixing it. Personally, it should have been scrapped and done over from scratch.

    1. All they’re actually doing is taking the people who already have the job from the Air Force and changing the name, still using Air Force personnel.
What a waste of time and money.

    2. That’s a Trump idea. Therefore, anybody with half a brain already knows it’s doomed to failure and disgrace and is a BAD idea from the very beginning.

    3. @J Annibal Something tells me there’s something in it for him.. Like maybe the space force barracks will be at a trump Hotel

    4. Good point. How many laid off at NASA sent over to the Pentagon to work on protecting our satellites from the Chinese? The reason being the Repukes LOOTING the Treasury in 2017.

  5. Oh c’mon on. The only reason the Last Jedi didn’t have plot holes, is because it had no plot to have holes in.

    1. Its not that there’s no plot, its that the plots were pointless. IE- Finn and Rose arc; and Emperor Snope’s immediate exit from the story.

    2. @nelsonta00 all of stars wars has been a hodgepodge like that. It’s almost signature and comic book-like. Nothing about last Jedi felt different in that respect.

    1. Yes but this crap is SWINO, Star Wars in name only. Special effects CGI is only lipstick on a poorly written pig, SWINO

  6. The actual truth is this: the only good Star Wars movie to be released in the last 35 years was “Rogue One.” The rest of them have just been milking the cow.
