Here in the UK, my mum got her COVID vaccine today. Completely free of charge. Yeah, universal health care is terrible! Americans need to wake up, you are being exploited by corporations and indoctrinated by corrupt media. Interesting fact, Americans pay more in tax for their private healthcare ( still have to pay their policy on top) than I do and I get universal healthcare, free at the point of delivery. You always argued that we had to wait for our healthcare; who is left waiting now?

The way it works here in the U.S. is that they will encourage all to get the vaccine, then about 3 months later those without insurance will start getting billed for about 1800% of the cost and those with insurance might expect to get billed for 200-500%, some portion of which will be covered. Those unable or unwilling to pay will be turned over to collection where the process to seize their property, assets and wages will be initiated as interest on the debt accrues. Even those on social security and disability could have up to 50% of their income seized until the balance is paid in full. Those on medicaid will be spared, but you must be indigent to qualify for that. And people here keep voting for politicians in both parties that only promise to keep it that way, assuring them that they do not want the U.S. to go full communist.

Of course the will be many who will have to wait for the covid vaccine. Its absurd to think everyone will get the vaccine at the same time.
My state will be giving the shot to people in the 2nd bracket in Feb. is what they estimate. This is good and bad. I will get to see the first groups outcome but I hope I don’t get covid before my turn at a vaccine.
