Some dems (like Pelosi) think impeachment will hurt the party. Well, first, it won’t, and second NOT impeaching will (they’ll lose voters in 2020, including many usually non-voters, independents, and even repubs who came out to vote for dems in the midterms because they wanted to reign in 45*).

And they’ll also lose life-long dem voters like me, for if the dems won’t stand up for democracy/the Constitution, then what’s the point of voting for them?!

If no party will stand up for our system of government in this moment, and instead create a dangerous precedent by not holding the most corrupt/unfit potus in history accountable, then I don’t care if dems win the potus and majorities in Congress from now on, for they will have proven they put party over country too and thus the US system of democracy is lost when both major parties will not stand up for it.

I agree. If they won’t make a stand and the cowards won’t risk it for our country then we have no reason to support them.

Nancy Pelosi is too busy attacking progressive Democrats to investigate.

    • Polls show that impeachment is unpopular.
Also, you need the Senate to impeach. McConnell will not impeach.
It is better to take them to court and send members of the administration to jail
Win control of the senate so whether or not Trump wins relection, a successful impeachment will happen then

“Let’s call him a lapsed Republican”. Well he can’t stay in the party if he’s still got a backbone.

The Mueller Report provides the checklist for the roadmap to Trump’s Impeachment! Pelosi deliver!!!!

    • As much as I want impeachment, Trump has too many in his pocket. You’ll never get 66 Senators.

Ultimately it’s better to inflict a thousand small cuts than to impeach in the House and have Trump a martyr in the Senate and win re-election.

  4. History will remember republicans as co-conspirators in Trump’s crimes and treasonous acts against America.

  5. Eastern Woods | July 25, 2019 at 2:14 AM | Reply

Schiff did it right. Take a statement from the report and ask Mueller to confirm

  6. I donโ€™t see how itโ€™s such a big mystery. The Republican Party is more interested in money than democracy or the wellbeing of actual people. Seems pretty simple.

  7. Because Christian white trash are cultists, and Republican Party water carriers just want a job and have no concept of love of country WHATSOEVER. That’s how it happened so easily

  8. The problem is, that trumpublicans see their duty as members of congress just as a job they want to keep under all circumstances. “Do whats right” is an alien concept to them when their jobs are at stake.

Their betrayal of the constitution is made worse by the fact, that a lot of them seem to think and talk on the polar opposite of what they do (or not do) and say (or not say) in public. And I believe this consciousness of false behavior elevates the behavior to a treasonous level.

    • So you think what is right is to remove an elected President because you don’t like him? That must be it because he has not been convicted of ANYTHING. Don’t bring up the Constitution if you don’t know what is in it.

So dumb. Keep on believing pal. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

    • With the power of the house, itโ€™s their job to enact legislation that goes to the senate and then to the president.
Why havenโ€™t they made laws to prevent Russian interference this whole time?
I thought democrats could, โ€œwalk and chew gum at the same time.โ€

I mention the nay sayers in commentary here, who could not carry Robert Mueller III, lunch, never mind his boots, as a decorated marine in Vietnam. His dedication to service and this investigation is above and beyond the scope of the negative commentary, as was your duty Brian, to shine a light on here, I guess. Someone forgot there are Committees at length looking into these issues. Robert Mueller III, nearing 75, asked for one, only one assist, and they bit and barked with fox soundbites on that subject. No hoards or teams of lawyers the principles used for access every moment of everyday. He took how many hours in total on and off the stand, on the Hill, just waiting for the next call to testify today. Mueller left his mark for all to see. If there is criticism ask the President why he did not testify. He claimed repeatedly he had no problem speaking to Mueller. Weigh the weight in the room and rethink things. Robert Mueller III and his assistant took very little floor space which the big guy said he wasnโ€™t going to follow, all day, as he of course, did. There was a lot of counting done, did he answer, did he not answer, was he confused by all those page numbers ricocheting around. Did anyone count how many people took the time to acknowledge Robert Muellerโ€™s life contributions? From both sides? Bob wasted no oneโ€™s time responding to these or grandstanding, yelling or insulting his hosts. Who do you think was more professional when you are out flanked on 4 corners before you enter the room? Most if not all in his position would have taken a pass, like the President did in not showing for the inquiry. Mueller never took the easy way out, answered all the calls. Just saying. Pumping yourselves was no Atlas moment, against a beautifully quiet legend who posted his last #90 testimony on the Hill. Mueller has a strength of character and history that cannot be bought. Another war hero trashed by this GOP Administration led by someone who has every reason to be frightened by his own shadow and backed by one Graham, who forgot McCain was counted as a friend, and also a hero. I am commenting on this as a podcast, not a few minutes of this sound bite. #BrianWilliams

  12. Mueller is in the best position to KNOW, and he KEEPS IMPLORING America to REACT to this; The Russians are ATTACKING OUR DEMOCRACY, in, โ€œSweeping attacks.โ€

  13. The evidence is overwhelming. Unfortunately red states are doped up on oxy, and watching ๐ŸฆŠ around the clock. The dems are just plain soft. Independents need to step up.

  18. Republicans have no decency, no integrity and no honesty. All they have is greed for power and for money.

Itโ€™s not a mystery.. people who are proud republicans or self proclaimed good christains are righteously indignant of reality, facts and compassion towards fellow humans.
Most really do not perceive just how hateful, ignorant and racist they are clearly.
We need ethicists to test every last person who runs or wants to be employed in security or government positions or any position of power over others.
They deflect pathological lies, threaten violence and really hate being called out as racists when they speak, act and behave like flicking Nazi racists.
    Love them. Never trust them
