National Archives wanted to share Mar-a-Lago classified docs for damage assessment months ago

The National Archives told former President Donald Trump's legal team in May that it was sharing hundreds of pages of classified material it had retrieved in January with the FBI and other entities in the intelligence community so that an assessment could be done on potential damage from how the classified documents had been handled, according to a newly released letter.
More than 100 documents classified documents, comprising more than 700 pages, were retrieved by the Archives from Mar-a-Lago in an initial batch of 15 boxes that were transported in January, according to the letter. #AC360 #CNN #KaitlinCollins

  1. The “love letter” Trump received from Kim Jong-un, probably the only love-letter he’s had, I wonder if he kept that?

    1. @JM Exactly. All those who knew him said they had to make the documents as easy as possible and to last only a few minutes. European leaders said that same. Trump couldn’t be bothered. So why now/ Espionage against the US is a possiblity.

  2. Bet he put documents in Ivana’s coffin. Not sure why you need to bury a coffin for someone who was cremated. And 9 Pallbearers? For ashes?!?

    1. Well he buried something and it wasn’t his ex wife, the pirate presidents treasure chest. Tee marks the spot. 😂

    1. Steve the stop me when I sound stupid. They got him this time, they got him this time , they got him this time, they got him this time, they got him this time , they got him this time. Am I stupid yet? Now you know how us smart people feel about you.

    1. @Bill Cole Of course we remember Benghazi. You mean that hearing that she testified for for hours and was found to have done nothing wrong? We know. The Trial of Trump will be EPIC!!!

  3. Did Solomon think he was going to write Trump’s memoirs and is now peeved that he has lost his gig?

  4. So basically while the National Archives was endlessly begging to give back what they knew of, T*** and his teams flaunted more stuff telling them: “hey look, we got these too, and btw we’re keeping them as well! Na na na na na…”

    1. @Andrew Pinson so do we. The division is due to ratings and the audience attention to sensationalism. Not all viewers are necessarily narrow minded by whichever source they feed from.
Granted, many use that consumption as a catalyst for their own, let’s say… passion about any issue that goes by their scope of vision (in both senses.)
At a certain level of exposure, many can tell when anchors are authentic in delivering their material from well scripted mise en scène for the purpose of keeping the viewing ratings where needed. “The Apprentice” turned out to be the master class to the showmanship that is still entertaining us. Is 01/06 real? Is the war in the Ukraine real? Everyone captured the statement Sidney Powell made about fooling around with the voters’ mind to believe there was a foul play somewhere. We get it, we have to recalibrate our standards to the lowest denominator that dominates the air.
I’m sure you’re a great fellow, thank you for sharing your thoughts and reading ours.

    1. @kay armstrong dont see anything. Clearly you can’t Name one single policy. Thank you for proving my point. Goodnight

  5. Executive Privilege comes with the Job, not the Person in it. Trump is a FORMER President of the United States, at this point, he is a Private Citizen, he does NOT have “Executive Privilege”.

    1. @MyThoughts Snowden is a permanent resident of Russia. He is in exile and still wanted by the FBI, the NSA and US Military Intelligence.

  6. It’s ludicrous and patently absurd that Trump could read 700 pages of documents.
Blimey! Trump barely understands one-syllable words.

  7. Yeah, for someone who didn’t even care for intelligence briefings he sure found all those documents interesting. Why would a failed one term loser of a president have the need for and hoard top classified documents?

    1. $$$$ It’s no accident they have a never ending stream of rich foreign nationalists coming through the doors of Night-Mar-a-Lago

  8. Executive privilege does not go on when you’re committing crimes… if it did that would be ridiculous.

    1. @BARRON VON SCHNEIDER the government moves slow. Charges will come but it takes time. Hold your horses and just wait.

  9. Politicians need to have qualifications and pass certain proficiency and ethical tests and be held accountable by review boards. For how much power they’re given, how is this not the case???
To be a judge, police officer, doctor, teacher, hell, even an athlete with drug tests….how is that idiots like Trump and Marjory Green can get as far as they do in 2022?? It’s Fing NUTS!!!

  10. In other words Trump and his henchmen are lying through their teeth about every single aspect of this case.

  11. Trump wants those classified documents back because it’s bad for business to keep his customers waiting.

  12. “Donald Trump was the dumbest god-damned student I ever had!”. That quote becomes more believable every day. (Not that it wasn’t to begin with).

    1. @Oh.Paga.Gangmanstyle Professor William T. Kelley. University of Wharton. He said that about Trump over 100 times. And I believe him. Because its true.

  13. ” No sir, officer, I was not stealing the bank’s money, I was just taking it home for safe keeping.”

  14. It’s interesting how this story unfolds. We now know what was so important there that a Chinese spy snuck into Mar-a-Lago, and that the Chinese knew the Classified Documents were there.

    1. We have actually known something was there for awhile. Lots of reporting of him waving around that letter from the rocket man.
