    1. As an Englishman I think her prose is excellent, imagine being her age and not only having to perform but to have to write and then perform that work on such a stage. Still that’s why she’s Laureate, talented young lady.

  1. She is talking about my America. She is talking about our America. She expressed so deeply and fervently what my children and their children–and the whole world–will know to be true and just.

    1. @pakalolo420
There’s always 1 person whose so miserable that they’ll take a positive and uplifting moment like this and turning into a negative!
BIDEN won! Trump lost! It’s over! The rest of the country has moved on and you need to move on too!

  2. She is such inspirational, smart, intelligent, more importantly confident with that powerful inner strength. Beautifully done. Way to go girl. Let the sky be your beginning!!!!

    1. to bad her speech was tainted by the criminals that put her there to cover up their evil agendas….she is being used as a tool and will be forgotten about as soon as they are done with here………….mean while Hunter is smoking crack in the white house, God bless America..equality???? so if Milli Vanilli was white like Joe i bet they would be able to keep their Grammy…this little girl will be thrown in the trash soon after this…….only white privileged allowed…

    2. @all, let her feel a little greatness. She had a great performance. Negativity or positivity will change nothing about it.

    3. @pakalolo420 too much orange Koolaid sloshing around your vacuous cranial cavity bruh!!!! You stuck on Hunter crack has clouded the majesty of and magic of this woman’s gift. You’re jaded by a poison pill that has encompassed your soul(less)……….if you’re trying to sell conspiracy-laden tripe maybe bark up a different tree. The carnival barker you subscribe to has taken up residence in your drained brain. If you want to buy the bridge he’s selling start sending him love letters (since he’s been banned from social media). Aver your fanboy status & maybe he’ll let you throw up a pup tent on his front lawn.

    1. while Joes son Hunter is smoking crack in the white house , bravo, bravo…her speech was tainted by the fascism that awaits us..

    2. @pakalolo420 Fascism is what’s been kick out of the house, you lunatic. Trump checked every fascist box.

    1. “Delusional Danny” wouldn’t have a clue what they meant. He had a repertoire of probably less than 150 words and that was the limit of both his verbal ability and his understanding. Everything he ever said were variations on the same few limited sentences.

    2. It’s also why words need to matter/mean something again. They’re powerful when used responsibly and masterfully like this, but utterly devastating in the hands of toxic ignorance.

  3. ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!! Your parents, just as YOUR AMERICA, must be so proud of you! This, my fellow Americans, is the voice of our today AND tomorrow!

  4. β€˜We are not trying to be perfect but form a union with purpose’. She is so talented. she’s the futureπŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ‘πŸΎ.

    1. Yes she is the future, a more inclusive future which is too long overdue. Well done young lady. πŸ‡±πŸ‡·

    2. This is an outstanding line.

I am not a American and not a fan of America–especially after these past 4 years–but her poem is what you need and speaks about you at your best. It also is a poem we in other countries can take and apply to ourselves. An instant classic.

    1. @Ryan Navas She’s contributed more than you drinking protein shakes and looking in the mirror….like that contributes any good lol

    2. No way. She moves her hand too much. Too flowery. She thought she was doing ballerina on a speech stage. Look awful!

    1. But to be fair to Trump, he doesn’t have an education, she does; he doesn’t know about words, and she’s a wordsmith. To be fair.

  5. So powerful. This here white guy hadn’t even heard of her, but I’ll definitely check out her work. This was formidable.

    1. Well said, sir. This here white lady hadn’t heard of her either, but I instantly fell in love. May her future be be as BRIGHT as her incandescent mind and wordsmithing.

    2. If you use Goodreads, she is listed as an author there and you can find what she’s published and follow her for future poetry.

    3. When heartfelt words are spoken with passion it crosses all boundaries. As a lady from Australia this inspiring passionate lady lifted my spirits. Blessings to you all.

    1. Trump is one case. But we need to attack the individuals responsible for newsmax, oan, fox and other conservative pundits who have sold their integrity to gain power and money.

    2. @Valarie Coppola Deep. When did we disunite? Is that something you decided? If only the right practiced their sh*t in the mirror.

  6. As long as there are more youth like Amanda being raised than “crazy” ones, the US should be good moving forward.

    1. That’s just it – the “crazy” ones still exist (and always will). Even one of them is one too many, and they will always be here, full of hate toward those who don’t look like them

I do have to say I enjoyed her speech.
