She doesn’t control the casinos. The strip is not part of Las Vegas- it’s an unincorporated part of Clark County. She can say ‘open the Strip’ all she wants, but she has no authority.
Marko Goldman she has no control over casinos and they do not want to reopen until it’s right. They are totally on board with the Governor. She’s crazy and taking a beating for her ridiculous statements
Imagine what happens to the casino that gets 20+ cases of COVID one night, then that balloons to 400 just a few days later. That’s the end of that casino.
Because at the end of the day, a Casino is just a cruise ship that doesn’t go anywhere.

As a vegas resident and worker Gov. Sisolak is doing fine. If we were to go back to work , especially the casinos, this is a dangerous, scary situation for us.
You are right and frankly, openning Las Vegas will not really work, all the states who have sense are closed and tourism is not an option for now so who will go to this beautifull city. I want to visit this place again in the future but not now.
I make a living all over the strip at casino lounges and venues as a musician and I have been out of work since March 15th. But I know too well how dangerous going back might be and I’m ok with staying home till it’s safe. They are going to have to take major restrictions and re do their safety precaution rules big time. Who knows how or when, but hopefully this nightmare ends soon!
Vegas is the last place that should open.

Everyone in NV (I live in NV) should be so grateful that Steve is our Governor. I can’t even imagine if someone like Carolyn Goodman was Gov. She is a hot mess. He is a voice of sanity and actually caring about people in our state, and not the almighty dollar.
I live in Las Vegas also and I know this is a hard time but it calls for sanity and real leadership. I don’t understand why human life is not treasured anymore.

NV had a good governor before Sisolak. Brian Sandoval (R) didn’t take back up from Trump either. Both Sisolak and Sandoval didn’t see the governorship as a Democratic or Republican job. They see it as a Nevadan job. There is a local commercial that features these two and past governors on keeping Nevada safe. HOME MEANS NEVADA is a motto and our state song. The commercial changes it to #STAY HOME NEVADA.
