The video has prompted the NAACP to call for the officers to be "removed" from the Bridgewater Police Department pending an investigation by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. Gov. Phil Murphy commented Wednesday that the "racially disparate treatment is deeply, deeply disturbing."

The controversy also led the township to cancel Mayor Matt Moench's town hall meeting on road improvements that was scheduled for Wednesday evening because of safety concerns. Richard T. Smith, president of the NAACP New Jersey State Conference, called for the immediate removal of the officers pending an investigation.

    1. THANKYOU, only intelligent thing I’ve heard so far. Sergeant First Class Clyde Higginbotham Jr of New Jersey State Police is responsible for instigating this incident and making those two teenagers fight. Higginbotham died in July of 2016 from cancer …

  1. NEWS ALERT: @AttorneyCrump has been retained by the family of Z’Kye Husain, a Black 8th grader who was forcefully detained by Bridgewater Township (NJ) police officers after a physical altercation at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.

    1. @Nunook 55 They usually focus on getting one person down first. Do you not notice one is a women that can’t control anything?

    2. @Potato Hero 1. I don’t think the female officer would appreciate that misogynistic remark.
      2. The Latino kid Joey said he was waiting for them to cuff him and they never did. He even asked, and it was as if he hadn’t said anything.
      3. Riddle me this: How is it when the cops arrive and they pull Joey off the other kid, the Black kid is seen as the aggressor and more of a threat?

  2. Not both get arrested just the black guy… I’m a alien from another planet and I don’t even want to come to crappie is it crappy earth. 🤔😅😉

    1. @First Last It really does not matter who started it – the police finished it. hard to imagine those 2 little punks have anything to complain about

    2. @carl milsum Black kid was defending a younger kid who was being bullying by the latino kid. How is that being a punk?

  3. Let’s see the rest of the video and I’ll make my own judgements. You don’t get to decide because of skin color.

    1. kkk i heard enough of your racism. so racist to the point you will still be saying racist white supremacists sh*t when you see the full.

    2. @SP258 it’s typical of your kind to answered the way you answered, invader and colonizer! Stop taking things that are not yours.

    1. @tmh abba Latino encompasses more then Mexico just so you are aware, anyways my comment is more of a celebration that more of humanity is now considered lower case white lmao

    2. @Josh McCullough U.S. government /the colonizers placed that name in use in 1970 for their Census to refer to “a person of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, South, Central American… bottom line here is fairness was not performed once again. Regardless to his ethnicity the boy is Caucasian passing and other is Negro passing; the Negro passing one was mistreated, cuffed and detained while the Caucasian passing one/ the aggressor was not touched. Is your hate and racism blinding you? I sure pray you do not work in a capacity where unbiased judgment is needed.

    3. @tmh abba sounds like that’s not exactly the whole story. This is the usual formula for propaganda in 2022. A short clip with a huge narrative that usually is biased and not %100 informative of the whole situation. I would wait to pass judgment and definitely not let anyone tell you what is true. You have a brain and if you’re to be %100 righteous in this situation you have nothing to do with you may as well be responsible and learn the facts from all the angles before you decide you can pass the bar…

  4. Ik this is probably a race issue, but regardless of race, what cop needs to handle a teenager like that? It’s in a public mall too

  5. Makes absolutely no sense! This is precisely why Black History/Race Relation still needs to be talked about in schools. Slavery may be a thing of the past but racism/discrimination is still with us today.

  6. Did we really see the whole thing and what transpired to the fight. Videos always showed the end of everything but never the beginning. It makes everyone look bad.
