@Trumptreason 4gitmo I saw an interview with a coal miner from W Virginia; 3rd generation miner, obviously not well-educated, who had voted for Trump in 2016.
He was voting against Trump in 2020, he said, because “I’m not smart but I ain’t that stupid.” And then he listed all the layoffs since Trump took office. almost 1000 men in his county.
Poor education, desperation for jobs can make someone vote for Trump once, because he made so many wonderful promises to them. But a lot of them “ain’t that stupid” to do it again.
The end of the Pandemic is within sight. Thank science.

Two of the cases in Australia, from people returning from the UK, are of a mutant strain, that is 70% more transmissible. The mutation is in a spike protein, in the section that attaches to the ACE-2 receptor. Australia’s caution is merited. So far, that mutation, which originated in England, has been found in the UK, in South Africa, Australia, and Spain.
It is of course voluntary to take the shot. But the ones that don’t, and later on get infected, really should be forced to pay every single cent of what it cost for medical care out of their own pockets.
