@Joseph V No, they don’t. They hoard money that makes it harder for anyone else to earn. It quite literally is a case of creating a false scarcity, but with the one thing we need to live. If you didn’t listen to Occupy Wall Street, the top 1% have 35% of the money, while the general population has less than 1%. That is a case of a handful of people hoarding something and then conning you into believing that they have a right to do so.
@Joseph V I’m sure people had jobs before all the jobs were hoarded into mega corporations. The world used to have a lot more small business enterprise, and people had a fairer shot at starting their own successful small business.
I’m all for capitalism. I’m all for free market. What I’m not all for is the continuous pattern of monopolization that is making more and more people workers instead of job creators. Couple that with the constant, unrelenting pressure to keep workers from unionizing, and your leading us to a point where billionaires own all the capital and the rest of us are at their mercy. A powerless mass of people ruled by the 1%.
That is not capitalism. No one who isn’t s billionaire should want that, or think that is good for them.

I’ll give you another try. How is it okay for someone, let’s say Jeff Bezos, to personally hoard nearly .1% of all wealth in our entire country (including whats in our government), but contribute only about .003% to it? Oh and Amazon has never paid a dime in taxes. My 19yo daughter has paid more. He literally has enough $$ to give every working age person $1000 and still have about $25+ billion left.
