  1. National bad cop database. Mandatory body cams. Take settlements out of their police funds and see if “good apples” tolerate the bad ones when it takes away their money too.

    1. @Everblue Freediving Licensing isn’t a solution….many bad Dr’s, Nurses, lawyers that can get a license, and still be corrupt.

Maybe a database that bans you from getting another job in law enforcement if you’re fired.

Would be some kind of 3 strikes you’re out, like loosing your Driver’s license with too many tickets….IDK

…and what S He said above.

Also maybe take their gun rights away like domestic violence does…can’t get a job as a cop without having a gun.

    2. @john smith I think its part of a solution. More important, imo, is curbing police union influence on local govs, endorsements, etc.. end no fault settlements that protect bad actors… its late, just some ideas

  2. I hope they FIRE the guy and also defund his department. We don’t those types of criminals in our society anymore

    1. What we need is justice & reform. Firing him is NOT justice. He must be jailed for assault crime or in prison for murder or attempted murder. NO JUSTICE! NO PEACE!

    2. John Nate : Me too. But, I hope they take their time about it, while he’s suspended, without pay? 😉

    3. The uTube Experiment : Well, he’s likely to be sentenced for Aggravated Strangulation, so I’d like to know what the sentencing guidelines are?

  3. The word passes around among police officers is ‘ get suspended ‘ , then take a full pay holiday…..

    1. blue moon I hope that’s not true but it’s probably the word sent out by the police union. Their request for holidays should be refused if they are suspended

  4. All it takes to try to get Justice are citizen’s videos that cops can’t control being shown on national television…

  5. Ugh. They just can’t help themselves can they? There are cameras pointed at them and the world is watching everything but still can’t control themselves? I can’t even imagine what has happened behind the camera over the last 50 yrs

  6. I’m glad they’re finally taking swift action but it’s only as a result of not just the US but the entire world watching videos of police brutality happening!!

People wont stand anymore for the old party line of: suspend them with pay, conduct an “internal” investigation, which would take months which was just long enough for them to come up with a BS excuse to protect the officer committing a crime.

If the peope supposed to uphold the laws are the ones breaking them and getting away with it then they arent serving or protecting anyone.

I haven’t seen the whole video but if one of the cops tried to step in then at least the message is starting to get through to some cops that they are not above the law!!

  7. 1:00 “… it’s been banned since 1993…” They need to go back and any police officer that has used a choke hold should be fired and prosecuted.
