The attempted coup at the Justice department was all about optics. Announce investigations from the “impartial” justice department, Trump uses that to embolden his followers a little more behind the scenes than he was forced to in the end. That’s why the threat of mass resignations was enough to stop the plan in it’s tracks – because that would then delegitimise any announcements from them.
Next time the guard rails might not hold. Trump and his minions must be held accountable.

A curious situation that’s not questioned and if there was no cost involved would be investigating fraud in the states that he supposedly won. It would a nice twist if some of those states he lost due to voter fraud.
