The CDC classified all deaths that are related to COVID-19 simply as COVID-19 deaths. Even patients dying from other underlying diseases but are infected with COVID-19 count as COVID-19 deaths. This is likely the main explanation as to why COVID-19 deaths drastically increased while deaths by all other diseases experienced a significant decrease.
“All of this points to no evidence that COVID-19 created any excess deaths. Total death numbers are not above normal death numbers. We found no evidence to the contrary,” Briand concluded.

When I was a child I got vaccinated at school by the Public Health Department. I lived through the last big Polio epidemic and it wiped out half of my kindergarten class. After that epidemic, the Salk vaccine came out and we never had another polio epidemic. Now, as a senior citizen, I can’t afford a flu shot and my insurance (Medicare Part A) doesn’t cover it. Public health comes first! People come first! We are supposedly the wealthiest country in the world so why don’t we take care of the health of our nation???
