  1. This officer went above and beyond. We need to find out who he is so he can be recognized for his kind action and DoorDash should offer him 1 year free delivery for all his orders.

  2. pretty cool. Wish his demeanor could be replicated across every police officer on every police force across America. There are other behaviorally-stable police who do their jobs well, seeing citizens as people, not units of potentially criminal reflexes.. and we see them pretty routinely on local news channels…

    CONTRASTING PERSONALITY TYPES

In an ideal world police would always go into situations with their first intent to de-escalate wherever possible, vs these deep behavioral wirings in many cops whose first instinct is to escalate, overwhelm situations with instant shows of force as the means to gain compliance.

The problems are in the supply chains of people who are most attracted to policing — and the significant emotional and behavioral drivers that form and motivate the different personality types of police men and women. We know that many studies have shown that the more aggressive and violent personality types attracted to policing are avenging early childhood traumatic experiences such as being bullied in grade school, or parents and society always using authoritarian responses and reasons for everything, such as the child asking “why do I need to go do that right this second when the the show will be over in just one minute?” and the parental response is an explosive “Because I said so!”

People with traumatic childhood behavioral and emotional scarring are often drawn to policing as a means to avenge the deep-seeded anger accumulated from being powerlessness to escape or alter all those events where they were abused physically or emotionally. What better way exists to turn those tables than becoming the ultimate authority figures with the power and means to command and achieve total compliance with all orders, using escalation and weapons as the out-the-gate methods to assert power, vs trying de-escalation or calming methods to possibly gain cooperation or a pathway to non-violent resolution, to prevent minor matters from exploding into extreme violent use of force? Obviously there are many times that won’t work, but with psychologically unbalanced officers, that chance doesn’t exist.

    1. Most of them are just like him…. you think otherwise because the media only likes to show you the bad ones….its great to drive hysteria

  3. Driver must have rented a car and it was reported stolen. Trying to work and get arrested…. there’s no point in doing anything good again… LOL
