One wolf still missing after pack escapes from Vancouver zoo

Vancouver Humane Society's Chantelle Archambault says the city's zoo isn't equipped to meet the needs of the escaped wolves.

    Botanical gardens do a better job at conservation management than zoos or animal sanctuaries.

    Maybe dont encourage captive breeding if you have zero intentions of reintroducing a given species back into the wild…

    Just look at what has happened to Tigers. Theres more in captivity than in the wild. And their genetic bloodlines are so muddied between subspecies that they cant even be introduced back, even said captive animals could hunt…

    The concept of a zoo is totally broken system. The allocation of critical habitat is more important than repopulating a species. These animals need a place to go…

  3. I have always found the GVZ a depressing place to visit. Barren enclosures and sad animals. Stanley Park has always been much better
