Only Congress Can Save US Democracy From GOP Attack: Voting Rights Attorney | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

  1. How can 1 party oversee votes in an election ? That is completely non-democratic & one would believe , unconstitutional .

    1. It’s “unity” for Democrats and autocracy for republicans. Don’t you love that double standard?

    2. @FredrickTesla Please watch something other than Fox news. You’re living in a bubble of misinformation. Your racism is probably blocking your mind from seeing facts. It really is a sad way to live.

    1. @The Truth Channel You’re rambling gibberish. I don’ care if you talk, nobody is trying to silence you so why bring it up dude..

    3. @The Truth Channel get a grip, you wanna be taken seriously don’t talk about your ‘proof’ show it! We had 4 years of BS we don’t need more.
A 1600+ year old surname doesn’t have much to do with my sexlife so stay focused please.. and stop spewing garbage nonsense.

    1. In the immortal words of the bard ” a pox on all your houses” , all politicians on both sides are morally corrupt with their noses well and truly in the trough .They are not their to “represent the people” just the interests of those with money
Your founding fathers would be ashamed and are turning in their graves

  2. brilliantly said, ty both! and yes to suing them, AG garland needs to step in too! remember rfk in the 1960s!

    1. TRUEI THANK U! I have never seen our Country so in Danger from Within!! I’m Fearful of our FutureI used 2 Proud 2 be American…Not So Much Now

  3. States already require voter identification including signed affidavits, signature verification and biographical information. GQP have abandoned Democracy in favor of Authoritarian rule. Do not let the fascists win.

  4. Article 1 Section 4 of the Constitution ‘Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such regulations (affecting elections for Senators and Representatives) Pass HR 1 For the People’s Act already

  5. GOP: “We’ve learned our lesson on Jan 6.”
    – That democracy is sacred and needs to be protected at all costs?
“No, how to corrupt it in a more perfect way.”

    1. @Edwin Portner Georgia GOP believes they have. Hope what they’ve actually done is overstep and that many republican voters will rethink their votes at least until this generation of tyrants are out of office.

  6. The USA has been rated as a ‘Failed Democracy’.

The experiment is over. You can’t rely on Congress to be on the side of the people.

  7. “We the people” are the first and mot important words of the US constitution.
Court challenges take years to finalize and that can be after democracy has been eradicated.

  8. So the republicans have declared themselves the rulers of elections in this country…sounds like an authoritarian stance to me…guess they all drank the losers kool aid

  9. The picture of Kemp signing , surrounded by 6 older white men, says it all about racist America. Democracy has disappeared in America

  10. It is laughable that USA is declared as the greatest Democracy in the world when individual States are able to suppress voters this blatantly as in Georgia to stop voters from one party to vote.

  11. Yes it is a sad day. I thought the 1964 voting rights act was it. But, I guess we need to fight for our right to vote again.

    1. As long as you have extreme right wing politicians in charge anywhere this fight will be a never ending saga

  12. THE GOP has one message: we will make laws to make this a country that only GOP can manipulate, control, supress and intimidate in order to stay in power. Colorblind and colorless driven.
