I am worried about those cases that have not been detected yet.

Jeeze, it’s too bad we couldn’t have predicted & prevented this with scientific data, statistical models and lessons learned from history (Spanish Flu)… Oh Wait! 🤦

    • @Joseph Lavoie Ebola killed way more than coronavirus or SARS…

@SS Are you guys like either too lazy or stupid to learn about something before you talk about it?
Ebola has been around since the 70’s. At the current rate Covid19 will have more than doubled its deaths at the 6 month mark.

Several organizations did predict this last year, right down to naming China as the initial infection site. Look up “Event 201”.

    • @Joseph Lavoie

You asked for something similar. There is nothing more similar than a virus in the same family. I’m sorry the number of infected and deaths don’t meet your needs.

@Dennis Xu That’s like saying a Tabby cat is similar to a Lion.

I really wish that they will do more testing to those have flu like symptoms. That’s what they are doing in Korea and other countries to find out how many are really have the Coronavirus. There’s cases that some started with mild symptoms. They didn’t even know they have it and they spread it without them knowing it. We can only hope for the best and praying for everyone’s safety!

    • Bxnkroll Official Minecraft & Music well, you don’t have a choice about what parents you get but you certainly do have a choice where you live. I don’t see any other countries doing any better @ this point so where are you moving to?

    • @Bxnkroll Official Minecraft & Music They are asking everyone to stay home if they can. And everyone with any kind of respiratory symptom to self-isolate. And they are doing more aggressive screening and testing at places like hospitals, nursing homes, etc. where health care workers and patients are at risk. The result is the same as if they tested everyone with minor symptoms. Because with minor symptoms, you would be told to go home and self isolate. Which is what you are told to do now.

I want them to stop blocking the sun. I wake up at 5am daily and I saw a beautiful blue sky filled with over 30 streaks of aerosol which expanded to block the sun. Next day, rain… today… rain… This is a pattern. I called the waterloo environmal board and asked what they were spraying and they said “we aren’t aware”.

    • exactly!

    • True, i was feeling ill yesterday, having a cough and some cold, im not just sure if this really a corona virus . But hopefully they can stop the virus from spreading.

  5. failure of authorities

So why does Ontario have two borders wide open to Americans to carry the virus here?

    • Nicole Hartrell | March 17, 2020 at 8:01 AM | Reply

It’s Canadians returning from Florida and other states….many snowbirds…

    • @Margaret Bradley Lol Iran and China are ahead in response. If you trust the news coming from those two countries, no doubt you ppl elected Trudeau 😀
Canada closed borders just 2 days back, otherwise everybody was just coming on Canadian airports, boarding the buses without any screening. At the number of cases, don’t get fooled by the numbers, how many tests are conducted in Canada? Close the borders with the USA who cares. In fact USA govt asked its citizens not to travel so you think they will come to Canada
Weak Trudeau wont be able to control it, because its already there. When ppl were coming from other countries in Canada, no screening nothing and Trudeau said risk is very “low” in Canada. You will see that in coming weeks how low it was. Instead of being obsessed with the USA ask Trudeau questions like why he didn’t take actions before.

    • K T Canada has “missed the bus” for sure.

    • Trudeau is worry Trump would throw a fit is what I heard.

Would have been wise to implement pro activity measures the minute we saw China shutdown! Democratic countries are very difficult to deal with whereas draconian methods seemed to work!At times like these we could best have learned watching Taiwan Singapore and Korea do what was neccessary Taiwan a democracy and Korea half ot one Singapore a soft authoritarianism but drastic measures needed drastic times!Canada USA made mistakes! Could have done better! SAME with the UK!

    • I agree with you 100%, but we wouldn’t want to be attacked and called xenophobic by the stupid SJW’s for doing the right thing either.

Our borders should have been closed to international travel, in or out, more than a month ago…

    • kinda (eye)ronic huh 😂

  8. they should have shut down flights from Iran, Italy, Egypt, etc 10 days ago. We are too late!

  9. raise the drawbridge!

    • friendly giant ?

    • If we had a World War Z virus outbreak, we’d be finished beyond finished. The Gov’t would fail. Miserably. Especially with Trudeau at the helm.

This is because those in power don’t prepare for worst case scenarios. And they don’t prepare because they believe that “it can’t happen here”, or the worst form of ignorance being “it’ll never happen here”.

Build a wall and raise the bridge!

  10. Yup its called “2 to the power of N days” – 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 = 2 to the power of 14 days = 16, 384 cases from 1 original case. That’s why its “exponential”.

To slow down the propagation of the virus, you gotta be more aggressive, way more aggressive than current pace. Aggressiveness and speed!

  12. No worries here folks, let’s hit Spain,France,Germany numbers before we lock it ALL down

  13. This is KNOWN tests – X 100 or more…. Most have no symptoms, right? Thank you Mr. Trudeau for leaving the borders open.

  15. It’s time to hold this gov accountable for not taking action 2 months ago when they knew what was coming & did absolutely nothing & still aren’t IMO
