  1. What the deal with a pope? Jesus never said oh ya im going to have the romans elect a rep. And deck his pad out in gold. Such nonsense.

    1. @Jason Lusk no need to be rude. Typical of a catholic.. be a jerk and then confess it away. Firgure what out. You still havent made a point. Ok so the romans translated them. I still dont see where it says we need to worship a pope.

    2. @John Browne oh they know they are evil, they just confess it away each sunday and get ready for anither week of evil.

    1. @CoggsWorth
Nothing. There have been countless apologies and millions in cheques handed out. When do we stop having to hear about this?

    1. @mekael bayati Exactly. The history of conflict throughout the past millenia has made it so we will never overcome our past issues. We need to dwell on them and not start a fresh chapter

    1. So if you were in an accident and it was someone else’s fault that you got your arm cut off, would you want compensation? What if they did it on purpose? With intent? With agreement? With evil? yes we want compensation for our pain and suffering. Over 7 000 children found in mass graves, yes we want compensation. I wonder, colonizer, why our children are smarter, clever, and breaking the cycle of trauma. We are Indigenous and we are resilient, powerful, and loving. It is not about the money it is about being counted, being counted means money. That is the colonizer way.

    2. @Cheerful Butterflies These graves were not a secret. Nor were they mass graves, there was record keeping of plots back to the 1800’s. They were cemeteries, not mass graves, if you read more about how they will identify the plots is right in the news articles that there are records, but many are missing records. I know it’s hard to imagine, but children weren’t just killed and then secretly dumped into piles, they were cemeteries.

  2. Is his visit going to lay all this to rest? I don’t think. The money better come from the Catholic Church and not tax payers! I was never consulted on residential schools. I never agreed to anything about residential schools- this is on the Catholic Church. How do you come back from this ?

    1. And you think the Catholic church consulted with it’s parishioners on residential schools? The Canadian government has just as much blood on their hands as the church.

    1. Well if we hadn’t taken their entire lives and livelihoods maybe we wouldn’t need to give “a handout”

  3. if someone hurts you, does the person who takes their place have the moral obligation to apologize for the other person? must of missed that one in ethics class.

  4. Whatever the pope does will not make a difference because the Catholic Church doesn’t change. It’s always been and always will be the beast of the sea in Revelation.

  5. The Pope has not been ordained. He is legally an “ordinary”, a commoner in the secular. Check it out if you think I am wrong. Without the ceremony that makes him Pope he isn’t a Pope. He is just a regular guy in fancy robes…lol…

  6. Did not one of his predecessors already apologize, (I heard Pope John Paul but I could be wrong) and will the next Pope and succeeding Popes have to kowtow to this political correctness of always apologizing..

  7. Reconciliation =💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

  8. They will never be satisfied, the only reason this is still being talked about is because they want to squeeze out every last penny that they can get.
