ITT: People who don’t know the difference between deficit and debt
Deficit – What you went over budget, and you gotta make up for the cost somewhere later, probably on credit
Debt – What you budgeted in the first place, because the expense & the revenue was already forecast
A water bill is a debt you can count on regularly in the future. You’ve got that factored into your bills. Paying for a shiny new sink or busted pipe above what you budgeted for the water bill…that’s a deficit, and you gotta make it up somehow
