I don’t think it will. It’s a rushed vaccine and so many things can go wrong. Vaccines need more time for testing, like 5-10 years. We are better off just relying on our immune systems for this one guys. No one should even think twice about taking this for the risk.
@The Rebellious Underdog Okay, I respect your opinion. It IS true that vaccines usually take longer than a year to develop. But the reason this development is so quick is because of the highly advanced technology and worldwide cooperation of medical staff and pharmaceutical companies.
Ari Levitt Alright good point, I see what you are saying. Although, I think it’s a little too early to test for the side effects of this. Sometimes it can take years for certain side effects to kick in. I don’t think I’m willing to risk that. I’m usually not an anti vaxxer either but this doesn’t sit right with me.

“Recovery” can include lifetime negative effects on the pulmonary system, cardiac issues, reproductive system complications, etc for many people. Not everyone who “recovers” is completely okay again. Recovery in this case just means that the worst is over and people are not contagious anymore. But don’t forget the millions of people who will have lasting effects from the virus.

There is video 10’s of thousands of Chinese leaving by car in wuhan the week before China stopped it because they were warned ahead of time that China was going to stop them.

That FU is for the duration of protection. You probably, in the hypothesis the vaccine is licensed and enough doses are produced can receive a course by end of the year, but you don’t know for how long you will be protected (protection wane with time question is how long you maintain sufficient level of efficacy and whether one would need a yearly booster dose like for the Flu). Meanwhile the study will go on and we will know more.

That’s not true…..! Because I got all the Press Releases and the FDA Approval notice for the Anti-Viral drug and knew that Gilead was Contracting with Pfizer for Mfg and supplying out of their Kansas Mfg facility. Sorry, but Thanks! I was really angry there for a while. I worked for Pfizer as a Solutions Manager for a while and have also developed Clinical Trials Data Management systems…..I’ve worked in that industry my whole life …..
