It’s funny that the PNP knew about it before hand and didn’t see it fit to get an injunction from the courts and now coming to talk about people being reactive ..the hypocrisy of both parties. As it relates to persons squatting on land that is not theirs…I belive extensive discussion should have been had prior to the demolition. So while I do not support persons capturing land that they have no legal right to we are still talking about human families so some level of compassion and problem solving could have taken place
I cannot understand the government on this matter. Sometimes ago in the recent past it was Karl Samuda who use the Adverse Possession act to allow persons to continue to live at the place in the Red Hills road area. They may have started to live there without the proper means of acquisition but something could be worked out. So the government need to assist these people speedily.
