Was going to suggest you use diesel or Jet 1A instead but just looked up those prices and they are no better.

My gas heating bill just for october, that I barely used.. is more than janurary and February combined of last year.
Do not be tempted to purchase a heat pump. There are very few places in Canada they are effective.
