  1. Land lords needs to ask for credentials like ID, driver’s license and passport ,job letters showing how long they are working ,then back ground check to be done with the police before renting there place, that’s the number one major system need to be done .

    1. They need to watch THE NEWS. OFFICERS CORN THEM OUT. WONDERFUL JOB TO THE MEN AND WOMAN WHO’S KEEPING JAMAICANS SAFE.

  2. Do people make background check, on these renters? Without proper investigation one will not be able to know who they are renting to. Jamaicans are living a good lifestyle, those who can afford it. Let them live it without living in fear. Let the royals see how real Jamaicans live, sop the cover up. Let the vendors pay πŸ’° a fee, and good upkeep. Good luck πŸ‘ to all.

    1. I think sometimes the owners just want to rent the place, they don’t care too much about who goes in. I had the exp in a gated community in Millsborough, agent brought the man. When asked what he does, she said “business man”, he is a loner etc… Well I couldn’t find the business anywhere & when he came back to look at the place, security at the gate said he “the loner” came with 4 other men of questionable look character. You’re right, if you look hard enough u can always see signs. Ofcourse we didn’t rent him. Young man, no “real job”, but could pay $1800 US in rent. Nah

  3. Wow!! Mr. Shaw needs to step down and give younger folks a chance. He hardly have voice left. Greed will be some of us demise.

  4. Construction had been going on in Jamaica a while now with all these home building, but some youngster doesn’t want to do dirty work, their hands only used to dig out their hand middle.

  5. I have so much love for the elderly but someone PLEASE tell me why those aging politicians refuse to step aside and give young people a chance. No disrespect to the longstanding MPs, but young people are the way forward! Don’t wait for sickness or death to free up your seat; start coaching young people while you still can. PLEASE, your pension is already secured step aside now man.

    1. @buke The new party is a joke. There is already internal conflict. No new party is going to come in and just change everything in a blink of an eye. If you believe that, then you also believe in Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy.

    2. I don’t no if you was around in the 60th Jamaica was not a third world country ,Jamaican was a beauty, 1975 the two party set a political road map for the violence you seeing today and corruption ,These two partys cost thousands upon thousands Jamaicans Black ,white ,Indian, Chinese run leave our country can you imagine how we could have make Jamaica much muck better place to live create employment, ,who you think is the joker.

    3. @buke before 1962, jamaica was not a country but a British territory. I don’t need to live in that time to know any of this information or political conflict i have tv and internet. The new party cant even establish themselves properly and we should trust them to run the country?.

    4. @bukeΒ  I wasn’t around in the 60s, but I keep up with my Jamaican history. I can speak for myself and probably many others living overseas. Jamaica is still classified as a 1st world country, away from the crime, violence, and unemployment rate it is far better than places we think is first world country.

    5. My friend i am not gonna go back and farward wheather it s country or not the poundΒ£ was the Currency in jamaica i know who was the master We are living in the age of tell lie visions, the internet everything you want to know is there as you say. only tell you about Politicians is main cause and effect you’re witnessing in Jamaica at present time on how it get started and the corruption, You can’t do the same thing over and over and expected different results. The UIC may having a internal issue very organization have some differences at time.and it better to stream.line it now than later.

  6. These properties and vehicles are rented by other people, people who are in high positions or has gainful employment….
The police need to start profiling people who work at western union and other financial institutions…

  7. Beware Property Renter properly screening, proof of work history 3 months of pay stubs or Business owener, income reported letter of recomendation, proof of precious address a valid ID, look out for Red Flags, they will offer you 3 to 6 month rent in advance, if your property is rented for 60.000 per month and some renter offering you 360.000 for six months up front in cash do not let the money fool you. You gonna have problems on your hand.

    1. Yep…some of these landlords are greedy . I am very picky about who i rent my place to. I have 2 studios and a 2 bedroom locked up empty for months now because if im not feeling you or your credentials is not up to par im not renting. The way you speak, the way you dress, i dont rent to self employed, police, multiple people pooling money to pay rent, entertainers, rent payment from family overseas, people who need to move in a hurry, last address was in ghetto ect. Landlords need to do their due diligence and not be blindsided by money .

  8. Mr Shaw looks sick y these old men don’t retire now he can hardly talk I rem when he was very vocal πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

  9. Make sure that every tenant history can be traced. Here in the UK, landlords get references from banks etc before they accept tenants. They even have to get three referees this is legal requirement. Police records etc so they know who they are renting their property to. Most recently the government introduced biometric details if tenants and employers have to do this as well. Details are then kept on a data base.

  10. We need some of d buses in Portland route for our kids them it is really bad they r suffering on d road .😌

  11. I hope they gave these people some were to sell cos I know the queen πŸ‘Έ grand son and wife is coming to Jamaica πŸ‡―πŸ‡² so don’t let dem style uno

  12. Is the police going to run free background checks on tenants? How is a property owner to know they are dealing with criminal?

  13. Big the police , your doing a great job keep up the pressure. I’m praying for you guys that God cover you to conquer. the enemies at all times .
