Our alliances are weakening, making our enemies stronger. N Korea is testing better and better missles, Russia is threatening to invade Georgia. We have less natl security, more homeless ppl, a bigger trade deficit, a bigger trade deficit w China, our costs are going up bc of the tariffs – costs that will be passed onto consumers, our economy is teetering on recession…
If this is what Republicans call “winning” no wonder your presidents keep causing economic disasters – Dubya with his Great Recession, Reagan handing HW Bush an economy sliding into recession which he cldnt save, bc that takes Democrats. Clinton created a surplus, and a booming economy, then Dubya created the largest deficit in history his first year in ofc – to which he added every year – nearly drove US bankrupt. Obama saved our economy, gave us better healthcare, and cut Dubya’s astronomical deficit IN HALF his first term – all while Republicans were screaming about a debt THEY CREATED. In his 2nd term, the GOP simply played refuseniks and no more progress was made on the deficit, even so, Obama’s economic stimulus created the longest run of growth in US history, growth that SLOWED DOWN under Spanky.
I wish Republicans wld stop suppressing the vote, so they’d stop electing wealthy, corrupt businessmen, who keep ruining the economy for working people, while making sure wealthy ppl get tax cuts, tax refunds, corp welfare, and cuts to regulations, which enrich them, while endangering everyone else. And when the mine collapses, or the oil rig spills, or the mortgage mkt crashes, the CEOs come to the govt with their hands out, and the GOP gives them no strings attached welfare, and the CEOs give themselves bonuses & Euro junkets. Leaving it to the Dems to actually fix all the probs.

It’s coming into winter here so that’s not a number one attraction for those coming from the warmth and beauty of a Caribbean Island but it’s stable and there’ll will be less to fear.
