@John Flake We purposely warped immigration law decades ago to “allow” illegals in to work and turned away from the fact that employers who abided by the laws not to hire them were, in effect, penalized by the employers who did hire them and thus paid far less for their workers. That was patently unfair, but we allowed it to persist for three decades. I never said a border wall was okay or not okay under any President, but I do defer to the people who know what they’re talking about on the issue, and most of them say a continuous, full-length wall isn’t necessary, especially now when illegal crossings have dropped so much. In ares of high density, like at border towns, yes, I think walls serve a purpose, but I don’t think a continuous, coast-to-coast wall makes sense. Sorry if that coincide with your view.

It’s hard to know if it’s just McConnell’s natural inclination toward warping our democratic process to party priorities or the many millions of dollars he has received from Russian oligarchs that is motivating him.
