I don’t think everyone has a grasp on how detrimental this could be. Many people that work in this economy are hourly paid. If cash is not flowing through these businesses and trickling down into the hands of workers, then you will have a HUGE ripple effect. Rents will not be paid, utilities will not be paid and it will trickle back up to the white collar classes. This is a huge deal. If money can not circulate through the economy from the ground up then we are fucked. To put it in a basic sense… the economy is having a heart attack and the blood is not flowing through its arteries

The original SARS outbreak of 2002 had a ~9.6% official fatality rate. The current COVID19 (aka SARS 2) pandemic is currently estimated by WHO to have ~3.4% fatality rate. COVID-19 has already killed more people despite having a lower estimated fatality rate, but that is because it has infected many times more people than the SARS outbreak did.

Yes, to maintain hygiene we all shoulda been doing for the past decade+ , cleaning mobile phones and remotes are prudent , wise acts to be included in our hygene checklists , but doing this is not going to do much if phone owner is infected. They need to stay inside & away from others more than cleaning surfaces .
