@Brian I don’t think you can say that Flynn withdrew his guilty pleas; he attempted to withdraw them, but that is up the judge and hasn’t been decided yet (and likely never will be). I also doubt that Flynn’s pardon request received any significant substantive review before Trump granted it. Any review it received was almost certainly perfunctory with the result a foregone conclusion. I don’t recall Trump ever declaring Flynn innocent as opposed to unfairly prosecuted. Trump would have no basis for doing so in view of Flynn’s guilty pleas. Clearly Flynn was guilty of lying; the only question is whether the FBI unfairly or wrongly pursued him, so to speak. Finally I am not aware that a conviction is a prerequisite to a presidential pardon. Has something changed since President Ford pardoned Nixon?

3) Trump is not dictatorial even within his own Cabinet. He has not taken any action to overcome state power or consolidate state military capacity. When facing the options for using the Defense Production Act or the Insurrection Act, he did not do so, even with clear and present dangers. He preferred states request assistance and immediately withdrew federal forces when no longer required.
4) Trump has reduced, not increased economic and social regimentation. He reduced federal regulations significantly and has even reduced taxes.
5) Trump has “enjoyed” the most opposition of any President, especially from the media. He has squashed literally zero media in spite of that.
Trump is not fascist in the slightest. The definition above describes socialist regimes perfectly.
