Press Conference outside Los Angeles County Sheriff Department after Tiger Woods was injured in a vehicle rollover. Golfer Tiger Woods was injured in a serious car crash in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The department said in a statement that Woods "was extricated from the wreck with the 'jaws of life' by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics" before being transported to a local hospital.

Woods' longtime agent, Mark Steinberg, said in a statement provided to Golfweek that the golfer suffered "multiple leg injuries."

  1. Tiger is one of the greatest athletes of all time, but his life choices have lacked wisdom and now this, may yet again, be a lapse in good judgement (?). Even so…best wishes, for a speedy recovery. 👍
