Prosecutor: Chauvin On Trial For What He Did To George Floyd, Not For Being A Police Officer | MSNBC

  1. I realize the defense only has to convince one person but it still seems amazing that anyone would vote to exonerate Chauvin on the basis of the evidence presented. His own expert was garbage; easily dismantled on cross examination. Multiple experts from the PD testified that Chauvin was off the rails and out of bounds in his treatment of Floyd.

    1. @Ki Ma 2 of the supposed ‘expert’ witnesses openly admitted that if they just had the autopsy they’d say it was drug over dose or heart failure. The only evidence that led them to the asphixiation decision was the video. So, their expert testimony was worthless. They simply came to the conclusion because of the video.

    2. @Jo Sm that is a blatant lie. You seem to be under the impression that repeating your lie will make it true.

    3. @Jo Sm you’ve blatantly ignored the repeated expert witnesses because you don’t like what they had to say.

    4. @Silent Bob which expert witnesses? Those that the prosecution used to prove their case or the defense witnesses that proved the prosecution wrong.
The ONLY independent witness was the ME and he was the ONLY one to see the body.

  2. If I have asthma and if you strangle me to death instead of letting me use my inhaler, I don’t think anyone will agree that I died because of asthma attack. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Why is there any need to discuss this case. That evil ex police officer should be sentenced to life imprisonment.

    1. @Randy Tillery Claustrophic… after he was just pulled out of a car… how does that make sense? There may have been an arm around him in the process of restraining him, but his breathing was not restrained for the majority of times he claimed “I can’t breathe.” You have a bias seeking a particular result and it’s blinding you to the facts.

    2. Lol. He didn’t strangle him. He did t even choke him. He did t even cut off the airflow. He didn’t even stop oxygen. In order to stop oxygen flow he would have had to compress both carotid arteries which is proven he didn’t. Case closed. Not guilty or murder.

    3. @2FingerTuesday He was claustrophobic in the car and they proceeded to put him on the street with 3 cops on top of him, which would still trigger anxiety. The cop had a knee on his neck for nine minutes and is now acting as tho he didn’t know he murdered him. Since I’m blind can you objectively explain why a cop with first aid/cpr training had his knee on Floyd’s neck even when he was unconscious

    4. phoney cop loving dem—-Waters requested police protection during Minnesota trip where she told protesters get more ‘confrontational’——lolllll

    5. Why is it taking a case to decide how George Floyd died I just can’t understand it alway the same case different scenarios and same outcome with weak small technical things that destroy a case and then worst part about it is man slaughter is always the penalty which means 1 month of prison maybe not even that life time parole and go home that’s bs I’m sick of the stuff this country is getting away with that’s GOD is judging this nation

  3. Their own police manual says that method is lethal. Those other cops just stood by and watched.
Cops have teams of lawyers and public officials on their side…even when they do wrong.

    2. 2. Neck restraints shall not be used against subjects who are passively resisting as defined by policy. (04/16/12)

      b.      Consider whether a subject’s lack of compliance is a deliberate attempt to resist or an inability to comply based on factors including, but not limited to:

      ·         Medical conditions
      ·         Mental impairment
      ·         Developmental disability
      ·         Physical limitation
      ·         Language barrier
      ·         Influence of drug or alcohol use
      ·         Behavioral crisis

  4. Imagine a world where you can strangle someone to death and then blame the victim because he was on drugs. Is that where you want to live?

    1. Jo Sm …I can’t believe how full of sht you are. “The only person to examine Floyd’s body…” you fcking liar. You are either blatantly lying or just spewing bs you read on some random Facebook post. Not a good look. The medical examiner EXPLICITLY testified FOR ALL OF US TO WATCH. Here’s a direct quote from Dr. Bakers testimony, “In my opinion, the officers subdual and neck restraint was more than Floyd’s heart could handle.” It was the subduel and neck restraint that directly lead to Floyd death. It doesn’t get much clearer than that. Stop lying. Just watch the trial, listen to the experts yourself. A cop doesn’t get off when they strangle someone to death because the person they killed happened to have a heart condition, that just means the cops had even more reasons to handle Floyd, who was handcuffed with more care.

    2. @Em Andem well if Chauvin is convicted, Maxine Waters words will result in a mistrial. The judge even said the defense could use her words as an appeal for a mistrial 👍

    3. @Akitsu Maru well if Chauvin is convicted, Maxine Waters words will result in a mistrial. The judge even said the defense could use her words as an appeal for a mistrial 👍

    1. Yup. Just like
everyone that voted for donald trump is not Racist
But every racist voted for trump

      Same difference

    1. That’s how bigots see the trial. Hate to break it to them, but George is already gone. What else do they want? An apology from Floyd himself for inconveniencing that racist murderer Chauvin?

  5. The greatest country in the world…one year after a man kneels on another’s neck for 9 minutes…is still undecided if such a deed is lethat or not.

    1. Its only undecided if a police officer does it to a black man. Had Floyd been white and the officer was black, it would be unanimous.

    2. Today in my book New Zealand is the greatest country on the planet. With Denmark it is the least corrupt country in the world according to TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL’S report for 2020. It has done a fantastic job in controlling covid-19. After the Christchurch Mosque massacre it immediately tightened its Gun Control legislation. 🇳🇿

  6. It doesn’t matter,if a police department and their officers abuse their power, they need to be held accountable,no matter What!

  7. GULITY, GULITY, GULITY !!!!!
I don’t know why we need a two week trial for a murder that was so obvious !!!

  8. The prosecution did their job. Everything else aside…Derik stayed on Floyd’s neck EVEN AFTER the medic couldn’t find a pulse for an additional 2 MINUTES. That’s murder.

    1. @Em Andem What?
On the 2015 National Assessment of Educational Progress, only 18 percent of African-American fourth-graders were proficient in reading and only 19 percent scored as proficient in math, according to an analysis by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation released Friday. The eighth-grade numbers were even worse, with only 16 percent of African-American students proficient in reading and 13 percent proficient in math.

    2. Yes that was intentional killing an hate if anyone look at this trail and imagine it was you love one are friends in your heart you would know that’s he’s 100% a murder I’m sorry evil pure!!!!😪💔

  9. I’d be absolutely shocked if he’s held accountable with a guilty verdict and a real sentence but no matter what, he murdered George Floyd on camera…he didn’t care then and he doesn’t care now.🤷🏾‍♀️

    1. You mean Sentinel Floyd no one wants to talk about the 2019 arrest and overdose he did exactly how he acted on 20/20 exactly how he acted in 2019

  10. Chauvin is also on trial for what he didn’t do: Stop, when there was still time to save his life.

  11. The matter must be stated as it is. If Chauvin had not kneeled on Floyd´s neck he would not have died,
which makes him responsible for his death. The defence comes up with countless reasons for Floyd´s
death. None of them led directly to his death but as usual when it is white against black the cards are
    stacked.

  12. we can only hope this jury of 12 people, most of which hadn’t heard of George Floyd before this trial, will do the right thing.

    1. In this day and age, what kind of person has lived in this country without having heard of George Floyd?

    2. @Larry Shell I try to think they might be people like my wife. She’s just so focused on her life and doesn’t really watch the news. She’s a good person, just hadn’t seen the news in a long time.

  13. If Chauvin was concerned about the crowd, all he needed to do was start performing CPR on his victim. But he had no intention of helping the victim survive, and his only interest in the crowd was to posture his authority and disdain for them. There was no acceptable defense possible, and certainly none was offered.
