Does the term, “SELF DEFEATING” mean anything anymore? Republicans got worked-up about saving the economy and fought against COVID safety measures. Now, the pandemic is worse than ever in the US. We still can’t reopen, so the economy is still threatened while the rest of the world is getting over this. Great job!
Protesters got worked-up about demanding everything immediately, demanded to “defund police”, and lumped cases of true, racist police brutality with those in gray areas. They demanded everything with even a hint of racism be destroyed without debate. Great job! Now, all they’ve done is play into the culture war, galvanized the cops’ attitude that it’s “us vs. them,” and insured protesters will be villified.
Sick of career politicians? Elect a president with no experience whatsoever. Sick of runaway capitalism? Support Bernie Sanders, the far-left socialist.
Everything, right down to our very existence and evolution on planet Earth is due to BALANCE. If you’ve had enough of racist police brutality, focus on POLICE BRUTALITY, not boxes of Uncle Ben’s or 25 year old sitcoms. If you want to deal with a pandemic, balance BOTH health AND economics.

This virus is unusual, in that it’s easily spread by asymptomatic carriers; so although you feel just fine, you’re still unknowingly, and unintentionally, infecting the people you encounter. Thankfully, you can avoid that, by just wearing a mask. Saving lives has never been so dang easy!
Now, we’re not asking you to wear a mask all day; just when you’re around people you don’t live with. And we’re not asking you to wear a mask forever; just until we get some control over the virus, which will happen much sooner, if more of us wear masks.

The only upside to the horror of COVID-19 is that we know how broken the health care system is in America.
Coronavirus has kind of been our Pearl Harbor.
Should Comrade Trump be ousted in November, our next President needs to put together a task force to deal with the mess Trump has made and to plan for the future, because coronavirus will no doubt be the first of many potential pandemics.
We must find coronavirus treatments and a safe, effective vaccine. Then we must make the vaccine available to those who want it, cost free.
After that the bigger conundrum which is quality and affordable health care, which should not be only for those who can afford it.
