Punishing winter storm belts Maritimes with heavy snow and high winds

A fast and rapidly developing winter storm turned Super Bowl Sunday into Snow Bowl Sunday for the Maritimes, lasting Sunday evening through Monday morning.

Most of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, as well as southern New Brunswick, are being pounded by heavy snow and high winds this morning, creating whiteout conditions in many areas.

    1. @69Mach I CJ I live in MB and there are woodstoves galore here. Electric heat yes but prices went up as well as gas. Wood is RENEWABLE. i GROW MY OWN.

    2. @fernand robichaud Pretty much. Biden and Trudeau are buddies of Warren Buffet. Buffet owns all the rails and tanker cars shipping Alberta bitumin to the Gulf. He makes $30.00 per barrel. Kickbacks anyone???

  1. Exactly what I expected they sent Kyle out standing around in the middle of the storm for 2 hours all to say look it snowed when he goes live on camera. They always get the new guys to do the snow story’s.

  2. Send this to NS Tourism Board….and their recent Ad campaign “If you can do your job from anywhere, do it from here” They should amend the slogan to say …..”……do it from here….under 7 feet of snow”

  3. Absolutely no point in living in the Maritimes or anywhere near that part of North America, as the weather is simply horrendous for too many months of the year.
It’s no surprise that the population of the Maritime provinces continues to decline on an annual basis.

  4. Would have been nice to have covered the whole region rather than just remote areas of Nova Scotia and Halifax… What about the Brunswick and PEI?

  5. Atlantic Maritimers,It is time to move, pack—up and relocate to our Canadian province of British Columbia’s West Coast and South Coast where it is warmer mostly during winter time!!!
