It has to be said the apparently cryptic oracular Qdrops were a cunning touch, they let every fruitloop provide their own interpretation. It was sort of a Rorshach for conspiracy theorists.
When people don’t know what to believe they will believe anything. Or anyone.
What amazes me: “some of these people had a bad year.” Well guess what, people of color have endured generations of REAL oppression. Unbelievable degradation and even death. And these people claim to be oppressed? Cry me a river.
Trying to focus in on white people feeling existential dread because brown people are voting is not a legitimate rallying point of political action. Stopping things like Qanon from happening is done by addressing systemic problems in labor, education, and healthcare, not trying to placate racial animus. For the same reason that to treat a schizophrenic, you don’t give credence to their illogical paranoias but get them on medication and psychological treatment, potentially institutionalizing them if necessary.
That’s the problem. The river is so deep that we are being swept away. President Biden it’s going to take more than a life preserver to save us. You can try but ultimately you can’t trust them.
@Jacob Wumbo you’re arguing with me but we don’t disagree, they even alluded to it in the segment, the material conditions of the pandemic has made people feel their lives are unstable and on shaky ground. This could be helped with a government response that would have actually met the moment. As well as many of the things you alluded to like better labor conditions, universal healthcare, etc.
The problem with these people is that they want to point fingers at people of color/immigrants, when it’s the freakin politicians that they VOTE and send to Washington, DC whose screwing them over. I didnt ship your job overseas, or cause you to lose your health care or home. Your republican government officials handled that for you. My neighbors job was shipped overseas by previous GA Senator, David Perdue who served as CEO of Sara Lee.
