Far too many Public school boards in the States have to have fund raising events just to cover the cost of new books.
Often, Teachers make less than Garbagemen and trades people in most cases, schools are falling into disrepair for lack of funding, and the only schools that ARE being funded well are Charter Schools tending to wealthy parents’ spoiled brat kids who can afford things like computers and high speed internet for their students in the classroom.
But don’t take my word for it, visit the public schools in Detroit or Chicago, that’d be close to you, no?
