  1. Damn I really thought she’d live to see 100 years old at least. Rest In Peace, lived a good life.

    1. @Ho to sab jata hai prabhoo.. karna padta hai Do you know how every other Empire was made? Pretty much the same way. A lot of countries have the corpses of our innocents too. The second to last lot of invaders and colonisers in the UK stayed for over 400 years and the last lot of invaders and colonisers are still here. She was a great person; a mother and a grandmother who did her job impeccably, a job she never asked for.

  2. Wow. She is a major part of world history and has been the Queen for as long some most of us have been alive. A woman adored around the world. I know that she is 96 but like many I expected her to live for a few more years at least to 100. It’s unfortunate that she will not get to see her son ascend to the throne. I always wondered why she did not step down sooner and pass the throne to him during her lifetime but I am sure that she had her reasons. No one will ever reign as long as she has outside of an unexpected tragedy similar to how she took over at such a young age. She is truly the end of an era. My condolences to the entire royal family and long live the King.

    1. @Lily Wood …yes, she served us Brits very well in her castles and palaces, or jetting around the world eating the finest foods, catered to by her servants and all paid for by us, the taxpayers who can barely afford to feed ourselves, yes, what a sacrifice she made!!!

  3. As a Brit I thank everyone who is mourning with us . Our Queen was a remarkable, honourable and devoted woman who fulfilled her duty till the end . We will miss her ..

    1. May thier soul rest in peace πŸ™…
Feel free to check me out … I talk about famous celebrities who are dead and thier achievements during their career time..

    2. @Lily Wood did not know that, still as a person who is roughly 60% Irish in dna and whose ancestors were forced out of their homeland by the English crown,, I’d feel wrong if I spoke too kindly of any British monarch, even one as kind as Liz was. simply a matter of familial loyalty but I also felt wrong not saying a few kind things about a grand ol lady like Liz.

  4. Sending everyone mourning the Queen’s passing my very heartfelt sympathy. It doesn’t matter whether you were a British Royalty follower, or not, Queen Elizabeth was truly a very remarkable woman and an inspiration to so many. We all hope and pray that the King will do as good a job as his mother has these past decades serving the UK with precision and dignity. Queen Elizabeth is reunited with her love and is at peace. May you all find peace on this very difficult day.

  5. Heartbroken. Such a sad sad day for our nation. The Queen has been an incredible figurehead. Her grace and wit will not be surpassed. She has seen so many things during her 70 year reign. Rest in peace your Majesty. You have been reunited with your strength and stay. x

    1. Please accept my condolences. We, the Russians, grieve and offer our condolences to you. I also admired Elizabeth, a beautiful woman. The era has gone with it. A sad event for the whole world. I grieve with you. Russia. Samara. Irina.

    3. GOD BLESS YOU QUEEN ELIZABETH II R.I.P
I’m so sorry for her passing
She is good, I can’t trust that regrettable
      God bless you,pray from China

  6. Truly the end of an era. RIP Queen Elizabeth. ❀️ I love her, she alway had a special place in my heart. She looks so similar to my own grandmother also.

    1. @Xd Phatpndr Every Canadian coin has had the Queen on it. The Queen was also on the $1, $2, $20, and $1000 bills.

  7. Let us not forget, in 3 days – 21 years ago, Queen Elizabeth II allowed the Star Spangled Banner to sound off from Buckingham Palace to honor the lives lost on 911. She was there for her country during times of sorrow as she was for ours in our time of sorrow. A truly admirable monarch to have witnessed

    1. She had the money to stop hunger and many places and never did it, hopefully she can enjoy all her money in the grave πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  8. My deepest most heartfelt condolences to the citizens of the Commonwealth. We mourn with you here in America. Queen Elizabeth II is a treasured leader and our hearts are broken. Rest in Peace our beloved sovereign

    1. @Xd Phatpndr oh where you there , must have been hard for you going through that…

Must be hard for you to remember being 180 years old at this point.

  9. As many Americans say they remember the exact place they were when they heard JFK was killed, I assume the same thing will occur with the British, rest in pierce Queen Elizabeth

  10. I’m an American born and bred. However I have always felt and believed in a deep kinship between the U.S. and the U.K. I remember staying up all night secretly watching news coverage of Princess Diana’s death. I was 10 years old but it felt so personal and significant to me for some reason. I feel the same feeling today. We may have rebelled against the crown and earned our freedom but that doesn’t take away the connections we share historically. We wouldn’t exist as we are if not for Great Britain and if I were ever to swear allegiance to a crown it would be the British crown. We your American cousins share your grief today. By all accounts she was a great and lovely woman. RIP

    1. dear queen Elizabeth, have not seen you before or been to your country, but the story I hard you did for my country Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ you stop killing of twins etc, from that very day, I start loving you and still trying to come over to UK even if it take me just to see your house only, I will really appreciate that, but no one to invite me over there, 😭 its well, I know you are in heaven right now, just know that me EBERE PRECIOUS CHINONSO, from IGBO part of Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬, loves you very very much ,once again rest in peace my queen, may God give your son the grace to rule the nation & the world 🌎

  11. She’s been my Queen for 36 years. I don’t know any other and it will be weird that so many things will change, the national anthem, postage stamps, money! She was the backbone of my country. If you wanted the British Stiff Upper Lip, you turn to the Queen. You want strength, you turn to the Queen. You want to see how proud we are for our country, you turn to the Queen. Damn, I am bereft.

    1. @Mollie Hi. Molly. Yes. Queen Elizabeth was the Queen of Canada. Now Charles is the King of Canada. The Monarchy of Canada is a equal but independent monarchy to the Monarchy of The United Kingdom. Don’t understand this to mean that she was the Queen of Britain ruling over Canada. Instead she was the Queen of Canada independently ruling Canada with no input from the UK government. When she dealt with Canadian affairs she took direction from the Canadian government.

To the Canadian government Elizabeth was the Head of State of the country. She just happened to live in Europe. When she deals with UK legislation she acts as the Queen of the UK. She is represented in Canada by a Governor General who handles her affairs here when she is away but when she directly deals with Canada like when the Canadian Constitution was ratified she came to the country directly and acted directly as the Queen of Canada. Not through a Governor General. She also happens to been intertwined with the Provinces where she is represented in the Legislatures of all ten. All Provincial and Federal laws in Canada are passed in the Queen’s name. Now the King’s. All public property in Canada is owned by the Queen. She even has her own residence in Canada though the Governor General lives there normally. It’s called Rideau Hall

To answer your question all images in Canada that bear her name – Cash, Coins, Stamps, Passports , government documents etc.. will have to be changed to Charles. A similar arrangement exists with the other 10 realms where she was Queen. Elizabeth was Queen of Australia, New Zealand , Jamaica and 7 others too.

I hope this isn’t as clear as mud. It’s a little complicated.

  12. I have always had respect for HRM after learning years ago about her military service during WWII, as a motor pool driver and maintainer, my Grandmother had the same job during the war with the USMC! Prayers to her family!

  13. I send my greatest sympathies to her loving family and all her personal friends!! I am an American and I know that this is so devastating for the entire commonwealth, but I have loved her since I was a tiny child! My grandma who has passed on got me into her, and we shared that special bond. So with her passing I felt like I lost the last little piece of my own Grandma! I knew it would eventually happen, but I just thought it wouldn’t be this soon! All I can say now is that She that was a Queen on Earth, this evening became a Queen in heaven! May Her Majesty rest at last, and be with her beloved husband, and her beloved parents and sister, and all the Monarchs that came before her! This is truly a sad sad day for the entire world. The only queen we’ve ever known!! May she be at eternal rest now!

    1. Share this time and emotional journey. Disregard these idiotic haters. God bless your Grandma as well. My Grandma was English, and I feel that link to my Grandma and the queen as well.

  14. Watch the 2010 movie β€œThe King’s Speech” and you understand how much strong character she inherited from her father. Say what you will about the British monarchy in general, but Queen Elizabeth II was faithful to her people till the very end. I don’t know if there will be or even *could* be another like her; she lived out the values of another era

    1. @Can how hard could it have been to at least pay money to keep supporting the disabled relatives? Were they afraid of people thinking bad of them for helping with a disabled persons treatment?

    2. @Can Β she discriminates amongst her OWN staff and the majority of her wealth comes from the people rather than tourists since she can take as much as she wants without much scrutiny
Why are they banning police from searching for stolen artifacts if they were purchased? How does that make any sense?

The queen wasn’t partially in change of them, she was mostly in charge of them. There are pictures of her in Yemen and she is clearly very complacent when it came to colonialism(which was the original point)

    3. @Can would you kick a tenant out for an unpaid 28 pound bill? How is that reasonable especially during a government mandated eviction ban?

  15. “When life seems hard, the courageous do not lie down and accept defeat; instead, they are all the more determined to struggle for a better future.” — HM Queen Elizabeth II

  16. Bless the Queen. I’ve always been very fond of her. An incredible woman, regardless of politics. So many changes thru the decades…she represented her country with dignity and honor to the world.

  17. As ex-pat Brit I truly mourn the loss of this amazing woman. She was arguably the finest monarch in modern history. God Save The Queen! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ 🍁

  18. While I’m not a Brit, I still highly respected (and still do) this truly amazing woman. Not only has the U.K. lost an inspiring monarch, but the world has also lost a purely golden light in the darkness. She promised the dedication of her entire life to service, and she kept it until the very end.

    Long live the King!

    And long rest the Queen!
