    1. What about , “The New World Order,”
      Rachel! finally
      mentioned tonight,.
What about Tillerson? How about Mnuchin
      going to China with the
      Invisible one.
      Kushner

    1. @R Robin That’s the only reason anyone fights anymore. Take away the war for oil and the only people who would suffer are the oil barrons.

  1. I’ve worked a year for the oil industry. Rachel’s right, the don’t know how to innovate. They don’t even know how to work properly. That’s why there’s always huge disasters like Deepwater Horizon. This industry should be regulated as tightly as the FAA regulates air travel, instead there is nothing. And the only thing that matters to them is keeping NPT down. That’s Non-Productive Time, as in “not pulling oil from the ground”. If doing things properly will cause NPT, they will do things improperly. When I realized there was no changing that even in my tiny, tiny area of responsibility… I up and left. That’s an industry which deserves every bad thing that will happen to it.

    1. I live in Louisiana and I worry about the hundreds of capped wells in the Gulf of Mexico that may blow or start leaking. I’ve already seen the devastation of such oil spills. I understand there is currently some leaking going on. It is bad enough we experience enormous dead zones in the Gulf due to fertilizer run-off from farms and other pollutants coming down the Mississippi River.

    2. @Tiffany k that’s a lovely thought, but if there were more people like me I couldn’t sell my services as high as I do 😅. Just kidding, I know what you meant.

    3. @RhondaH one thing I’ve learned working in that industry is that oil wells are extremely complicated. I used to think you just drilled a hole in the right place and oil just poured out. Long story short, it’s almost never the case. Chances are a capped well has been capped precisely because the oil won’t pour out on its own and it would be too expensive to force it out. So maybe those capped wells are safe, but I really couldn’t say. As for the fertilizer… well that sucks. Especially since it’s all about making food that won’t even go to hungry populations.

  2. Why does Chris Hayes keep saying “just blow me” at the end of every MSNBC youtube video? I suggest you just get rid of doing any outro about subscribing and stuff. It’s not nice.
