  1. I must say… what an amazing interview! The cross section of pop culture, Broadway, and politics. Kudos to Ari being so intellectually numble. This Is exactly, what i needed to hear. Do we need to worry qbout a pandemic-when Rihanna, is texting during a Broadway play?

  2. I feel like this is a racebaiting lie. He said the woman was sitting next to him, so it makes logical sense that she would address him and not the friend.

    1. Effscott Fitz-gee : I would argue that it would make logical sense for her to address both of them, as they were both within arm’s reach of her and doing the same activity. He did also comment that he was not the closest person to her who was on their phone.

    2. ErykaSoleil – the fact that he said she was sitting next to him, but he was not the closest person makes no sense. Was the friend sitting in her lap? Addressing one of them should be sufficient for both of them to get the message, unless they have no etiquette.

    1. COME ON DAVID. CAN YOU AT LEAST BE
OPEN MINDED ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE
      FEEL? I KNOW YOU’RE NOT
      HEARTLESS.😢☺

    2. Nicole Brown its the little boy who cried wolf story. After so many times no one listens anymore.
That’s what happens when you cry racism bout everything. It cheapens the actual racism. And nobody is caring anymore heard it bout everything. Even calling time racist. Ridiculous

  3. Ari is so down to Earth. He does the best, most refreshing interviews! Definitely a man of intellect and culture!

  4. This was deliciously intellectual, eloquent, hip, fun, and astute. More of this, Ari! Moar!

  5. Oooooooh….. the comment trolls are swarming around THIS one! **Eats popcorn enthusiastically**

    1. the movements looks like he might be rolling a joint or something similar, if anything. or it might be something totally different. personally, i don’t think it is texting. then again people have varying levels of skills when it come to these things. it was distracting, though, for real.

    2. Kelly Andrews : They spent time talking about how people have a wide range of reasons they might seem like they aren’t paying attention when they really are. He could have been texting, or he could have been checking a message from the family member of a friend in the hospital, or playing with a fidget spinner, or doing crochet because he needs to keep his hands busy, or simply getting distracted by something his cat or dog is doing. Maybe he finds it weird to just stare into the camera constantly and was giving himself a quick break, or maybe he was keeping an eye on his battery life because he hadn’t been able to find the charger for his laptop, who knows? He was clearly present and involved in the conversation throughout, so if his eyes looking elsewhere bothers you, you might try looking at something else while you listen to the video.

  6. It’s not that texting (in context) is TACKY and reveals the low born manner in which is someone was raised. The salient character issue is that it’s illogical. You go to a party/club social gathering and [decided] that you want to talk to people who are not there. You look pathetic, just leave the event and be with your text friends. Only when you’re with your text friend you have to text the one person who Isn’t in that room. There’s no logic in your behavior.

  7. Lol “I’m a Gemini so I understand his mind” 😯 this guy is a frickin mind reader he must be some super evolved human from the future.
