Rainstorm, mudslides wreak havoc on B.C. roads

    1. That’s pretty dangerous considering if it starts flooding on a larger scale.
      No way out if a huge tidal surge pushes ocean water into land after a underwater landslide, volcano or earthquake.
      Vancouver would be like escape from New York when that happens!

  1. Road companies love this, not only can they make money fixing roads but they purposely build highways with poor water drainage to cut costs. This just makes a “business”

    1. All roads are engineered.
      There are no road companies but the contractors that build roads build the roads to exacting specifications of the engineers.
      Otherwise they don’t get paid.

    2. road companies? Not in Canada . Government tax dollars. No private bidding for contracts. Not suppose to be profit driven.

  2. Most of the Fraser valley was a lake until they pumped it out to turn it to farm land , Mother Nature always wins
