  1. The US no more if inequality isn’t resolved. The US could fall apart as a unified country and disintegrate.

  2. Just freeze the properties, assets, salaries and health benefits of ALL members of Congress and give them $600 and tell them to live on that for 8 months.

How can government plan when half the population is deplorable & at odds with reality? Go on pretending wealth is not passed down family lines & bribes are impossible?

I’m glad we all have people to tell us what is productive & what is not productive.

I agree with that. I’m an independent, and I say do it to BOTH parties.

    • Good idea

  3. This wage gap is ridiculous. How’s it fair that the working class works more and isn’t paid according to inflation rates all while the big corporations have regularly been benefiting.

    • @Chris Quinn This typical rhetoric of the wealthiest and their representatives in the government or the “establishment”. It seems you are far detached from reality and is almost taking the talking points of those corporate puppets in the government. I hope you can understand the reality by watching or reading Requiem for the American Dream by Noam Chomsky. Of course, if you have against democracy and power for the people, then it is not in line with your interest. The society is becoming more difficult for ordinary people to prosper and it will not be good for the wealthy either if they still live in it. History should have taught us enough but I suppose few actually learned enough to see that. Or rather, the nature of capital drives the rich and powerful into this mode of concentrate more wealth and power, while the majority of the population will get into despair and cause more social unrest.Hopefully the progressive movement will prevent the society going down this dangerous path. We will see. But more importantly, it takes the people to recognize the cause of this danger and work together to change it.

  4. The three wealthiest Americans own as much as the entire bottom half of the population.

And you could change personal income tax to 99 percent and you’ll never touch them. Why? Same reason why Warren Buffett secretary pays more personal income taxes than him. So democrats saying tax the rich is completely stupid. Because the rich don’t pay taxes and it’s legal. Why because they don’t own anything. Elon musk said owning in today’s world is stupid and don’t make sense. They run every thing through the business. Everything! Heck even the socialist Bernie Sanders made millions off his nonprofit organization he put his wife in charge of, if you want access to him, they need a donation into the nonprofit organization. In which it helps pay for his multiple houses ect….

    • The billionaires in the US earn $1 trillion this year!

@se7en Zee look up probing the Rockefeller fortune this is done by Berkley university you’ll see that control isn’t necessarily about having money yourself it’s about controlling the company’s that make the money. They own voting rights over hundreds of company’s they vote in the CEO, V.P, and CEO and help point them in a certain direction. So 200 million for Hilary Clinton campaign in superpak money is the same 200 million for Jeb Bush in superpak funds. Petrol dollar, Grand Central banks ect…. you have no idea of the elite families. They control the interest rates and make all the rules. Taxes will never effect them.

Poverty community is growing larger from losing jobs. They need help not to be ignored by their own country. This is horrible & they have a right to be angry.

  6. So let me get this straight, America has been given scientific facts about something that can mean life and death for millions of Americans for generations to come… And they’re deciding to do nothing about it. Let’s see how that plays out… As it’s literally playing out.

Trump wasn’t given a chance by you, the media, and half of the U.S. You acknowledged that Obama divided the country, except it was between the “racist” right wingers and those who were for Obama. Do you think that Obama calling people racist because they didn’t vote for him sat well with those who didn’t vote for him? Also, please tell me what he did wrong while he was in office.

    • @Bradyn Lotterman Are you freakin kidding? Trump made it clear he was not president to anybody that didn’t vote for him & by God they were going to be punished for it. Trump is certifiably insane.

    • Bradyn Lotterman | December 18, 2020 at 9:44 PM | Reply

@Linda Walters Oh, how did he make it clear? Was it the tax cuts for everybody? Was it getting many Americans off of food stamps? Was it starting the end of the war in the Middle East, bringing back troops to families for and against Trump? He sure punished them.

  8. It’s easy…he is making it sound more complicated then it really is….make corporations pay their fair share in taxes. The pay nothing anyways.

  9. Spend more on education, social housing, infrastructure, health infrastructure and services, environmental protection, etc. drastic reduction in defence spending and downsizing military bases….no one is threatening USA who has enough nuclear warheads to reduce the earth into ashes many times. No more adventurous naval muscle preening round the world. Sort your home situation first. Trillions have been spent fighting unnecessary wars!

You cant spend yourself into wealth you have to save. The u.s already spends more than most on all those things already.

    • Only free housing you get from government in the US is prison. US isnt smart enough to keep 12 people in a 3 bedroom house where rent and utilities are kept cheap.

    • So true. I remember Watching on TV in 1957 people of America, black and white, were so smart. Someone in the government said not to educate the American people. Maybe Joe Biden and his cabinet will bring back education to the United States

  10. During Eisenhower the top marginal tax rate in the US was 90% and inequality was at its historic low. Bernie is right.

  11. Capitalism in America is a get rich game scam to enrich the rich. All the while the poorer get poorer stay poorer with no gain nor benefit.

    • Democrats are always trying to steal other people’s hard-earned money. Keep your hands to yourselves, you dirty rats!

  12. ” A Nation can not stand when it is at odds with itself.” Lincoln.

  13. She has such a hard time understanding that the poor have a breaking point.

    • @se7en Zee That’s right. If you’ve never been there. It’s hard to understand all the dynamics that’s around it. To everything, mishaps no parents.

    • @Noneshere Is that how your imaginary America is in your mind are you Donald Trump you’re fired

  15. capitalism has been weaponized against the working poor, in fact, the entire country was founded on having a ‘slave-class’ of citizens…

Mr Dalio, a billionaire, a question I have, What are your billions doing apart from making more billions and what use is that money locked in ‘off shore’ bank accounts and stocks and shares. It is up to top 10% to recycle that wealth!

  17. You have to tax billionaires and corporations.
