  1. Our First Nations deserve better. They have been systematically robbed for hundreds of years. It’s time to return some of those stolen rights and accept that what happened to them was wrong.

  2. When it takes national outrage to get the RCMP to do their job, it’s more than a failure, it’s intentional negligence.

These are small towns where everyone knows each other, it’s not unreasonable to suggest these Constables choose their friends, personal bias or both, over their responsibility to enforce the law. There needs to be an inquiry.

  3. I don’t think you can call this terrorism. Vandalism, yes. It should be rightfully prosecuted. If you call this terrorism, what would you call what that lunatic did to the teacher in France recently?

  4. Very poor comparison between the two different incidents. We all know this is systemic racism at its worst. Being a TV host does not excuse this poor behavior. Shame.

    1. how about enforcing the law…all the laws…not just the ones that are convenient to the Liberals (or their toadies) who are desparately trying to get re-elected.

  5. Royal Proclamation of 1763 is elder to any Canadian acts of governance…
science has proven the indigenous nations are also the First Nations of ecology itself

    1. @xxroadrunnerxx0303 Crown is not Britain..it is UNITED kingdom
first nations are elder by Proclamation from Crown Itself…
affirmed by Constitutional means PRE EXISTING
you had a chance at Meech lake to fix it..
it still runs on honor from the Parliament..and they refuse to be honorable

    2. @marty meat hood law ok. But either way. The 1982 Canada act supercedes it. And it only refers to the 1867 constitution.

    3. @xxroadrunnerxx0303 canada act is younger to Elder proclamation

that is chronology or chronicle logic
      or logic CROWN law itself
      ….

if you mix up a recipe..
you will burn your brownies and not get a proper cake form…

    4. @xxroadrunnerxx0303 if you are Canadian citizen….then yes that constitutional law applies to you..
you are on a SHIP or a citizenship
      i have LAND rights
you on my safe birth by my goodwill and you by your speaker’s honor…

    5. @marty meat hood law that’s kinda why I think king George’s royal proclamation isn’t worth a hill-o-beans…

  6. You have no idea about the east coast fishery. They could fish in season if they followed the rules to conserve the stocks but they do not. They should be made to follow the rules set by fishery department.

    1. Canada is no longer a proper judge over First Nations rights anymore..
when it was convicted of genocide..it lost that responsibility…..First nations can ignore that mandate now…it really only is suggestion to the elders they tried to murder…

    2. Whether you like this fact or not – the Indigenous peoples of Canada are entitled to all access to this land and it’s wealth as outlined in the treaties.

  7. Jagmeet, why don’t you ask yourself why the local fisherman are outraged. Same rules need to apply for all.
